The last time I saw us at Elland Road was in 2012 when Guedioura scored this absolute shitpinger. We won 7-3 and McCleary scored 4.

I was there as well great night think we had less than 800 fans in attendance lots of spaces as well in the home end. We were fighting away at the bottom of the Championship back then we went 1-0 down then 3-1 up then 3-3 then 7-3 one of my fav away games ever - bonkers game.

Had no chance of a ticket this time sadly.

Try and get the first goal is key here as the locals expect a win so they will get on the backs of the Leeds players if we can get the first goal - I hate Leeds with a passion but their support is like an extra man at times - need to shut them up early - need our star players to step up as they have in the past 4 EPL games.

It was F'ing freezing too if you remember. Good job it was such an entertaining game. Brilliant away day that night.

The last time I went to a Forest Leeds game was the home fixture in January 2019 - the performance enhancing drugs must have been particularly good that day because Daryl Murphy was more than the Leeds defenders could handle - possibly the only great game he had in a Forest shirt.

To say the recent narrative is that Leeds have been good, they're still only level on points with us.

That's not to take anything away from them mind, for all the talk about Farke being unable to adapt to the Premier League, he's certainly made changes which make them tough to beat as well as having a real threat of their own. They play at some pace too - so if we can ride out the inevitable storm in the first half, there will be chances for us as they begin to tire.

Would take a point all day long still. I also think Leeds will be fine this season, so if we can stay above them, we should be just dandy too.

What I would like us to go with for the game

Ortega, Milenkovic, Morato, Murillo, Aina, Sangare, Anderson, Netz, MGW, Dominguez, Jesus.

What I think Dyche will go with.

Ortega, Aina, Milenkovic, Morato, Murillo, Sangare, Anderson, Dominguez, MGW, Hutchinson, Jesus.

Looks right. Won't risk blooding young Netz.
Morato at LB anyone? 💀

I think the starting XI will be:

--------------------Ortega-------------------------
Aina------Milenkovic------Murillo---------Luca
---------Sangare-------------Anderson---------
Hutchinson----------MGW---------------NDoye
--------------------Lorenzo------------------------

Having watch the "In Training" video, Sels didn't look particularly injured, but he only appeared for a very short time, and I have a feeling Dyche will want to use Ortega rather than risk Sels having to be replaced during the game.
I can't see Dyche weakening the side by moving Murilo out to left back when we have just signed a German left footed left back.
And Calvert-Lewin is in the sort of form that might cause Morato a lot of problems.
I think the Italian Stallion will get his start, and hopefully grinds Rodon's face into the Elland Road turf.

Personally think Murillo will start left back with Morato LCB.

Two morning training sessions and one tactical review isn't enough for Netz to be trusted in a high profile game. He won't understand how we play as he'll have never seen it before. Maybe he gets Wolves game but Leeds is too early imo.

Also think Milenkovic and Morato can do a number on DCL anyway.

We have a few options - I'm kind of thinking we might see Abbott at right-back and Aina at left-back - because Dyche, in common with Nuno and Cooper, likes players to bed in with a few training sessions before going into the team.

Indeed. Was thinking Dyche might go for something along those lines, only with Savona at RB.

Leeds have a big team so increasing the amount of big bastards in our side wouldn't go amiss.

I thought they lost at Newcastle as well,Alf.

Only one win in their last 6 league games but I agree it’s going to be a tough game.

I can see us getting something if we replicate our recent resolve.
That was away mate, their home form is very good since December
  • Leeds 3 - Chelsea 1 W
  • Leeds 3 - Liverpool 3 D
  • Leeds 4 - Palace 1 W
  • Leeds 1 - Man U 1 D
  • Leeds 1- Fulham 0 W
  • Leeds 0 - Arsenal 4 L
11pts from 18 and they Played 4 top 6 sides in that time too.

Honestly, I think a point would be great.

Or Aina LB and Cunha RB?
I'd be shocked if Dyche picks either Cunha, Abbott or Netz for this.

It'll be Aina, Milenkovic and Morato with Murillo at LB I'd have thought. Probably Anderson, Sangare, Dominguez and Gibbs-White then Jesus and Hutchinson as he terrorised them in the reverse fixture.

It's a tricky one because DCL is actually quicker than he's given credit for and Murillo gives us that pace.

That being said I think Maxi is correct and we'll shuffle Murillo into left back and it's a bit soon to blood a new young LB into a spot with so little time to prep and understand what we require from him.

2-0 to the famous team in red. They'll start all guns blazing but if we defend as we did against Brentford, Arsenal & Palace they won't score. Hopefully Anthony Taylor isn't the referee for this game.

Two things I love about that clip is John McGovern laughing in the background and the Leeds ball boy who gets up to retrieve the ball thinking it would end up in row Z, and then quickly sits back down again.

DCL genuinely looks like a quality striker again. He looked absolutely finished at one point after endless injuries and never being able to play his way into form.

Imagine how Everton fans must feel seeing him now. The second he leaves them he manages to stay fit and become useful again.

Need to do everything we can to cut off the supply to him.
