Tickets sorted, Hotel booked back in Feb, just need to make the 4hr drive there and back from Madrid!
Hopefully we’ll continue to make history! Nothing worse than a long journey back after a heavy defeat. Somehow I think we’ll do ok over there. Can see them peppering our goal in the first 30mins, well suited to our tried and tested counterattack style.
That's some going...350 miles in 4 hours! Nearly an average of 90mph.

Think you might be looking at more like 6 hours for the drive.

Welcome to Spain!
Honestly I haven’t checked maps and time, so you’re probably right.
Anyone needing a lift, I’ve got two seats (outward and return) free of charge to exit madrid around 9am. And return after midday Friday.

We are comin’ in from Faro to Madrid to pick up all Forest fans that need a lift. Unfortunately, my first car was a proper mini so I still believe we can fit 7 or 8?

Mind you, we will thrash the crappy hire car to hell and be damned with the speed tickets!

@Strummer is it ok that I ignore German speeding fines?

Oh. Oh, you really, really, don't want to do that.
I’ve accumulated 3 and it’s now in the hands of a legal firm, so lots of letters but I’ve not been detained at passport control like I was in the Netherlands a couple of years so.

Disclaimer: these are alleged speeding offences.

I was once on 11 points in sunny Germany, got right up there blasting into a road works area on a rainy night coming home from Hamburg.
I should know better but was tired and although I was starting to brake the red light of the camera was the wake up call.
Don’t remember the exact rules but I had to not get any more points in 4 months to make sure the first one I got fell away from the total inside the last 2 years.
I drove only when necessary, never went over the speed limit (which is freaking difficult) and dragged myself back to around 8 points.
Was so lucky :)

I didn’t come here to tell you that.

To all of the lucky Ladies and Gentlemen going to the Porto game.

Have a fantastic time there, enjoy every minute of the trip especially the game. If you can witness a great Forest win it will be well worth the time and expense.
Many maybe cannot attend due the financial side, so post everyone some photos please

I for one am very jealous not being able to go.

Stand tall, sing loud and make the place shake when we score :)

Those red lights on the cams must cause more accidents than they prevent. Annoyingly, they also take a picture of the driver.

Even more annoying is that I’ve been done 3 times by the same 30km/h cam near Leverkusen in the last year. Mind you, I am pretty stupid.

Porto drew 2-2 to Famalicao at Home. Porto thought they won in 91st but Famalicao equalised 99th minute.
Also Porto manager ran on the pitch thinking they had won it.

It's easy enough to say "don't speed" but unless you watch the speedo when the limit is lower than driving conditions or you don't have a new enough car to beep at you...

Watching the highlights of Portos game last night and hadn't realised that they signed Seko Fofana in January - scored to make it 2-1 in injury time only for Familicao to equalise minutes later.

Monster of a midfielder when playing for Lens a couple of years back, was hoping we would sign him at the time but he cashed in and went to Saudi. Definitely one to watch for Thursday (although it seems he is only coming off the bench in their last few games). Another "new" threat is yet another Porto wonderkid, 17 year old Polish left winger Oskar Pietuszewski.

Is there a single player you'd pernamently replace Anderson or Yates with from the porto squad?

Thought not...

We've got this!

If any team in Germany had earned only 11 points, they would have been taken out and shot.

To be fair, that sort of comes naturally easy for Germans.

Mine is x150 convertible 4.2l normally aspirated.
The engine is not one of the problematic Ingenium series.
It is a lovely V8 - well regarded in the industry:

The 2006 Jaguar XK (X150) with the 4.2L naturally aspirated engine uses the
4.2-litre AJ34 V8 engine.
This engine is part of the AJ-V8 family, specifically the AJ34 variant, which was carried over from the late-model X100 predecessor and improved for the new all-aluminium X150 chassis.
Engine Specifications:
  • Engine Type: 4,196 cc V8 (Naturally Aspirated)
  • Engine Code: AJ34 (also referred to in parts as AJ41)
  • Power Output: 300 PS (221 kW; 296 hp) SAE or 294 BHP
  • Torque: 420 N⋅m (310 lb⋅ft) SAE or 303 lb·ft
  • Valvetrain: DOHC (Double Overhead Camshaft), 4 valves per cylinder (32v total)
  • Fuel Injection: Multi-point injection
  • Transmission: 6-speed ZF 6HP26 automatic
This naturally aspirated 4.2L V8 is noted for its reliability compared to earlier, pre-2003 Jaguar V8 engines, having addressed previous timing chain tensioner and water pump issues.
The modern Jaguars are an absolute mess engine wise. I was considering the Jaguar F-Pace a while back but they contain the Ingenium engine which is notorious for timing chain issues leading to catastrophic engine failure. If that doesn't get you the crank shafts or tensioner failure will.

And according to our experts at Jagtech, Jaguar electronics are suspect as well.
Billed as an aluminium body they don’t mention the steel subframes that are subject to rusting…

If you buy a modern Jaguar, Aston Martin or Range Rover, then you truly deserve all the shit that you will endure in the coming months and years.
I contracted at JLR on their Sat Nav graphics a few years ago, behind the shiny reception and showroom its basically a huge shed full of blokes called Graham with soldering irons and FM Radios, the disorganisation and wasted money, for such a big company (thanks JLR!), was bonkers.

Yeah similar thing with me, was eyeing up a Lamborghini Revuelto but opted for my Kia Sorrento instead as thought it would be more reliable.
