Nuno Espírito Santo

The thing we didn't really understand about Nuno is that he's an understudy of the most cynical and destructive personality in contemporary football: Mourinho. He learned at the knee of the great master of moving from club to club, sucking each one of them dry and leaving them all feeling bewildered and abandoned. To do it of course you need enough talent to keep getting hired but also enough cynicism to abandon every fan base to whom you've given hope. We got done that way and West Ham fans are experiencing it now. Who will be next?

I remember an interview with Yatesy over the summer when they asked him about Nuno, and he said something along the lines of, he plays his cards very close to his chest and I don't really know him. Thought it was strange at the time, but seems to chime with on what's going on at West Ham too.

Nuno has had a Fernando Torres-esque fall from grace.

This time last year he's one of the best managers in the league. Now I bet nobody would go near him.

Sounds strangely like Dyche 😂
No, no, no.

Nuno's poor first season with us where he finished 17th... after taking us over in 17th... was a tactical masterclass from a genius, because all foreign managers have tactical nouse and artistic flair when compared to a British clogger.

Whereas Dyche taking us over in the relegation zone and dragging us out of it... despite not even signing any players yet... is archaic clogger management by a man out of his depth.

Didn't you get the memo? 😁

Reading Knees Up Mother Brown is keeping me very entertained, i didn't know that Nuno recently said "I need new footballers" a couple of weeks ago :ROFLMAO: This is the bewildering part, the fans are up in arms because of many selection issues.

Pablo, their new new signing, named on bench and didn't get off it for the entirety of yesterdays smashing away to a team with 2 points, meanwhile the one player Nuno has had a hot/cold affair with in Callum Wilson played for the entirety for the first time, something they criticised him for was hooking/dropping Wilson for no reason since his arrival - as a statement to the board apparently. Pablo i should mention is a Mendes client.

Yet the core issue from what i'm reading is how he has disrespected and alienated Jimmy Ward-Prowse from the moment he was appointed. They cannot understand why he is not using him, not even getting on the bench. I mean we could tell them why he's not getting on, he's past it and Nuno terminated his loan.

It also seems they are completely in the dark about why he was run out of here, theres no "Nuno done this at Forest didn't he?". They did however accuse "That Fat Greek" from holding Nunos team hostage which didn't give him a chance.

Football fans, we're all f***ing mental really.

Has there ever been an instance where a manager was sacked after a defeat, goes on to join the team that cost him his job yet only 4 months later is sacked again following a defeat to the team he started with?

Go on Forest. Make history.

Please?

Was probably more use to us in his brief spell here than Douglas Luiz has been for us so far.

An interesting theory 🤣. Makes about as much sense as the Palace fans ravings about his relationship with John Textor.

The best bit will be when he actually plays him and fans see that he's utter toss and clearly just a cash-in agent favour, not too dissimilar to Ribero here (who at least the club had the sense to loan first instead of paying 10m for).

I have no hate for Dyche and think he’s doing what he needs to do but the context of the different squads inherited by both managers needs to be looked at surely.

I think Dyche would have loved what Nuno had - namely Wood, Aina, Sels, Sangare and Yates to have been available for far more games.

As much as this would be quality to get him the Sack - Does anybody actually genuinely think Forest will win tomorrow night?
