Rumours seem to be gathering pace that we're back in for this chap after his injury killed a move earlier in the window. 28 year old Cape Verdean attacker capable of playing across the front line.

Scored 8 goals and got 5 assists last season for Strasbourg but not had such a good season this year with 2 goals in 20 mostly coming off the bench.

Norwich and Brighton were linked with him for £5m in the summer.

Looking at the highlights & his history can see why Mouch would want him, and how he'd suit the team whilst giving us a different option.

He is in Nottingham supposedly according to French source Alsace who first broke the news yesterday the deal was back on.

He has decent speed to him and a brilliant aerial spring.

Doesn’t look to bad in the highlight reels but who doesn’t? Couple questions why hasn’t he been playing more? Who’s been playing ahead of him and what kind of standard are they? And how bad was this injury he picked up recently? Is he prone to them?

A local reporter claims that the final deal is 2m euros + bonuses.

Attacking midfielder/Forward?

Competition for Adomah, Sammy and Lolley. And cover for Grabban.

Mobile backup for Grabban who can also play alongside him when you are desperate for a goal, it seems.

Their decent players all seem to be forwards ie

Ryan Mendes
Julio Tavares
Nuno da Costa (El Nuno :) )
Ze Luis

Jovane Cabral of Sporting Lisbon coming through as well, he's supposed to be a bit of a wonderkid. He's capped for them but only in a friendly, supposedly wants to hold out for a Portugal call up.

Read a fun fact this morning about Ryan Mendes, apparently Mendes is who Steve Walsh had gone over to scout for Leicester but Mahrez was in the same Le Havre team and impressed him more so they signed Mahrez instead.

Me personally would of liked a league one league 2 striker that will wait his turn and knows the leagues. Someone like Marquis at the start of the season would have been good but we are where we are now. I’m not sure this guy is the answer but if we get a genuine inside forward who has quality and could fit the wing and up front then that would this transfer a decent one.

They certainly had a decent AFCON a few years ago which was where I first saw Mendes play and their style was very much based on attractive attacking play.

Nani was also born there but pledged his allegiance to Portugal.

With all these high caffeine forwards let's hope Sabri can find the right blend.

We'd be mugs not to sign him.

Maybe we can throw in one of the bomb squad on top of the transfer fee as a sweetener?

Shame we didn't beat Chelsea, it would have been nice to have given him a go in the cup.
