Mods feel free to merge this with any other captain-themed threads but with Grabban's departure confirmed I thought it'd be nice to see who people think should be the next club captain.

Worrall, McKenna possibly Yates in that order for me right now but.......in his reveal I did notice Niakhate at one stage adjusting what looked like a captains armband im sure so could be something lined up for him too.

It has to be Joseph Worrall.

It wont be anyone but Joe unless we bring a seriously experienced leader, so it will be Joe.

Joe Worrall.

Wozza.

That was a black armband, which he wears on the right arm.

Worrall has been captain in waiting pretty much ever since that post match interview against Wolves.

Starting to think this might be a completely redundant poll!
There will always be some plonker who wants to insist someone like Cafu should get the armband as he’s the teams unofficial cheerleader.

I don't think there is even a debate to be had in regards to Worrall is there? He has been de-facto captain for a while now anyway.

Preferably, someone who as well as having the necessary leadership qualities, is almost certainly guaranteed of a regular starting place.

I really do hope he proves any reservations I may have as being misplaced, but I'm not fully convinced that Joe is assured of the latter.

I believe the question should be, who should be the vice captain 😂😂

Cafu should get the vice captains armband as he’s the teams unofficial cheerleader.

Naturally Wozza, but under Cooper there's not as much emphasis on captaincy as opposed to other setups. He likes all of his players to have attributes you'd expect from a captain, for them all to provide their own input share their own ideas and to be some what of a leader in their own right

It's clear to see that despite him valuing technical ability he also understands the importance of the players mentality. He quickly organized a team of very determined, strong minded, young players (plus Colback and eventually Cook, sorry lads) and took them to war. A war that we had no right to compete in, yet we came out on top largely due to the way he managed the mentality of the dressing room
