Got home last night just as the second half kicked off. The OH wanted to watch the US election coverage so I thought as we were winning I’d shell out a tenner to watch the second half instead.

Got in ifollow and clicked on “watch video” and it just came on. I was already signed in, but hadn’t paid for the game pass at all.

Has this happened to anyone else? This isn’t a sneaky way of invalidating my ST refund is it?

That happened to me too. Just checked bank account to see whether money had been taken automatically when I clicked watch video. It hadn't.

I’m hoping it’s a cock-up and not a way to say “you watched a home game on ifollow so revoked your right to a refund”. I didn’t use any code or anything, the game was just on already when i went to buy a match pass.....

That happened to me as well! I logged on to buy a match pass, couldn't see any link to do so but the match started anyway!! Like you I am now worried that they are going to use this as a way of getting out of giving me a refund. (I went for option 2 btw)

Question I hope someone can answer. I connect my iPad to my tv via HDMI. I can see the iPad content on my tv but when I bring up ifollow I see a white arrow on my tv but no picture although I get sound. Anyone got any ideas.

I've never tried it with a tablet. A laptop should work fine. If it doesn't then use a VGA cable to connect the TV as an additional "screen" only issue with that is the sound will play from the Laptop rather than the TV

Yeah me too. I’ve emailed the ticket office because I’m sure this will be their latest trick and I’m not losing out on hundreds of quid in refund due to a tenner a game

Yes I've been wondering about that too, especially as they've already agreed to keep our money for next season's tickets.

I need to mail anyway as I still haven't received megastore vouchers for 2 kids season tickets from last season.

And, I want to know how they apply ticket office/megastore credit in lieu of last season's Sheffield Wednesday tickets. Still heard nothing about that.

The EFL have launched an anti-piracy campaign around their IFollow service, suggesting that instead of illegal streams, supporters should be willing and grateful to pay £10 a match:

https://twitter.com/efl/status/1329031892449058817?s=21

I bet you can guess the majority of opinions in response to that tweet!

As we’ve discussed on here before; IFollow as a product is an absolutely shocking service. The apps are awful, the playback is often spotty and lags tremendously behind the live game, the stream quality is poor and the service itself arbitrarily restrictive.

They’ve got some brass neck, I’ll give them that.

I wonder after COVID has gone whether the clubs continue to be allowed to offer the option to purchase matches in the UK.

If they do, I can see a lot of clubs getting out of the iFollow arrangement and hosting it themselves, as there is definitely more money in it now.

I’ll let you know the response when/if I get one

No response still. If i log in on Saturday and the game is on without me buying a match pass, I’m watching it.

I’ve told them the issue and also made it clear I do not want to change my option for a rolling refund and would happily pay for individual match passes, so if they haven’t fixed it, I’ll watch the games for free thanks.

I can't think why you think ifollow is a shocking service, I have watched every game this season and it has been perfect for me, on my PC.
the picture quality has been good, never had any buffering. never had a problem signing in. There's no after match crap, and who needs that.
I just don't understand all the moaning about it. Just be happy to be alive and can watch it.

I have the same experience but tbh it depends on your connection quality and how your PC is I suppose. £10 is a bit much but if it's that or not watching at all?

For the games I’ve been able to watch, the quality has been perfect.

The problem I have with IFollow is their Customer Service.

I’ve still no satisfactory outcome from my query logged after the Cardiff game back in August. The Ticket Office are still trying to help but iFollow are not responding.

Does anyone know of a direct email contact at iFollow? I’ll go to the very top if I can find out who’s in charge.

If im paying 10 quid a match, I want to watch it on my TV. Its way to restrictive and to be fair no one saw it would so widely used as its main use was for international forest fans so it was created for limited usage. For 10 quid a game its lacking greatly

It's much better than it used to be. That first season it was much more basic, whereas it's now got the commentary and replays and stats etc...

The lack of TV option is frustrating, but can be 'mitigated' by using Chrome and then casting a tab to a TV (so long as you have Cast compatible tech). It's workable, and ok, but is prone to pixelation and dropped frames (latency is a pain...).

The adverts for UK services at half time are kinda weird though (I guess these are an added feature with do many UK viewers allowed now).

Decent enough, in my opinion, for the cost... With today being an exception as Forest are just awful...

Is tomorrow's game (away) a free one for Option 1 people? Didn't know we got some/all midweek away games?
