Signs 1 year deal at Blackpool.

Sorry, but how is this possible and how is he still a professional footballer?

Either that, or he's a firm believer in recycling broken rubbish!

Impact sub I suppose. It is always handy to have some pace off the bench and teams like Blackpool don't have the budget to go out and spend good money on someone to sit on the bench.

Don't understand the hostility towards Tyson, not quite cut out for it anymore IMO but he was a good player for us overall.

His performance in the 5-2 game was outstanding, and the goal against Man City is one of my favourites.

As the saying goes "you shag one sheep".

Tyson doesn't have the technical ability to be a Championship striker and was very frustrating to watch sometimes. However, he always gave his all when on the pitch and because of his lightening pace could cause defences problems. On the 5-2 night he must have sold his soul because he played like Ronaldo. The flag moment was special too.

I didn't rate him but I'd much rather he was on our bench rather than Miller.

Me too.

When fit, his pace frightened defenders to death.

That's the problem, I liked Tyson (I remember spending a while doing some of those shopped Tyson flag pictures post the flag-gate incident). At times it seemed that his legs were made out of Blackpool rock, much as Millers are made out of biscuits.

I'm certain the reason Nigel signed him was because he had two barnstormers against Derby, especially the 5-2. Should've seen the other games.

"A definite mistake from Clough, really wasn't a fan of him and surprised we went there after the flag incident, even if it probably was a misunderstanding."

Tyson would win throw ins, corners, free kicks, get players booked or square the ball simply by being super fast and chasing a ball which no other striker we have now would get anywhere near. I don't think we'd have even been promoted from League 1 if it wasn't for Tyson and I still think he'd have been effective off the bench if we'd kept him (more so than Miller, Derbyshire etc).

The moment Billy stopped playing him regularly, that was the end. Sometimes I just dont understand why Billy doesn't allow partnerships to form

Tyson was the right signing for us at the right time. He helped get us promoted that season, but then he seemed to get left behind with one or two things and never really got his mojo back.
Shame as he is a really nice guy and his passion was never under question.

Yeah his injurie proneness never helped and is probably why we ultimately let him go. I have no doubt if he could stay fit he would still be useful to us as an impact sub now.
