I was hoping that his comment ‘Thank you @officialnffc, For the utmost care and concern for your athlete. We are always together.’ meant he held the club in such high esteem, that he realised that he wouldn’t get looked after so well anywhere else.

I thought that I was just clutching at straws, hoping against hope that he would stay - but now I can grin from ear to ear again. Happy days!

I read that message as him being 'locked in ' too. Great news

As I said recently, I had no idea were this "he's checked out already" narrative was coming from. All I saw was a lad that was massively commited and thankful to the club who was clearly struggling with a persistent injury.

I think perhaps we as a fan based don't give enough credit into the closeness and family feel in the squad and club. It's clearly an environment that the players love being in and aren't pushing pushi to leave, even in the case of someone like Murillo who will know he would have plenty of potential suitors in this country and in Europe.

100% this. There's also a reason that Cloughie was so eager to get the young lads moved out of single digs on Colwick Road and have them married off. Once you've got married and got children your priorities and mindset change.

I don't think it takes much to convince Murillo where he's loved, appreciated and wanted. He strikes me as one of the most humble elite footballers around. The little touches from having his gender reveal at the ground, flying his family in for him and generally making a huge fuss of him and his loved ones will go a long way.
