Was interesting to see the size of Antonio in person now - he’s like a shorter Anthony Joshua. I don’t think many defenders would be able to deal with his physicality as well as Niakhate did.

First class performance for me.

Was I the only one thinking that Antonio has lost something in his quest to be a body-builders Mr Universe?
He looked muscle-bound and seemed to have lost that lightening acceleration and pace.
I remember him at the City Ground, in the Garibaldi, winning a tackl on the left edge of our Bridgford End 18-yard box, sprinting with the ball the whole length of the pitch, leaving opponents trailing in his wake, before crashing and unstoppable shot into the Trent End goal.
For me, he just wasn't ever going to do that yesterday, instead he either chose, or was told, to use his physique to intimidate Niakhate.
Unfortunately for Antonio, Niakhate was more than a match in the physical aspects, and basically dominated Antonio until Moyes had no option but to replace him with that tall, but useless Italian striker.

His game is definitely more about power than pace now, compared to when he was with us.

It’s likely a consequence of the premier league where his pace wasn’t as electrifying as the championship because of the speed of defenders, but he could adjust his physicality.

He’s still a top striker for me, though.

You have to remember it was around 7 years ago that he was with us too. That pace fades.

Hoping it wasn't anything too bad - he was still at pitch side at full time celebrating with the other players

BRICE: Moussa, it's a great club, with great fans and a great spirit. Give them your all and they'll love you for it. There's one special route direct to their hearts though....

MOUSSA: sacre bleu, Brice, please tell me; what is this spećial way to their love?

BRICE: They call it shithousing, mon ami

Yeah he’s getting on now but strength wise he’s a beast. Niakhate did really well.

Similarly, I thought Taiwo did really well with Zouma who is also a massive unit.

Zouma was absolutely blowing by the second drinks break. He was f**ked dealing with Taiwo - I think tactically the only thing Cooper got wrong was not putting Johnson on his shoulder for the last 20 minutes.

It was obvious this guy would be a decent signing when we were first linked but he seems like such an amazing character. He is always bigging each others up & celebrates stuff like he's been here 10 years.

If the Aouar rumours are to be believed he is playing a massive part in convincing him to come here as well.

If he turns out to be a fantastic player on top of all this, he will be our best signing for years. Great homework done on him, clearly.

I wouldn't be too worried as he tried to play on. Physio wouldn't let him if it was a hamstring problem.

I initially thought he went down with cramp. As has been said Cooper will have his obituary written on Friday in his press conference before we'll see him right as rain at Goodison.

I raved about this fella when Forest were linked to him because I’d seen him play in the flesh and he was pretty bloody good.

And he has justified every bit of faith I had in him.

As Michael Dawson might say, you love to see it.

Also we were into shithouse territory by then. Keeper already had been booked for re-spotting the goalkick, then we need one of the defenders to pull up with something worthy of 4 minutes stoppage, it was just the last thing to do before someone else feigning being hit in the unmentionables

Think I would have stuck Mighten on for Lingard to continue pressing them last 10 as well. Surridge did well when he came on in making a nuisance of himself and holding the ball up a bit.
