The deadline for him to play against Everton is to sign before 12 noon tomorrow, right?
Lets get the f**kers signature on a contract before we count chickens.
The way things are going he'll be in Kentucky fried chicken on the outskirts of Nottingham on the way the the WFCG and find that Wolves have accepted 55.9M from Everton for him....

I suppose reasonable worst case scenario is we get relegated and MGW doesn't make much of an impact.

Even if that happens, that'll mean no add-ons most likely and thus £25m, and he'll either be:
A) Very good in the Championship, helping us to get promoted.
B) Sold for c.£15m-£20m.

Similar to the likes of Williams, Richards etc - because they're still young and have a reptuation outside of playing for Forest, there should be interest from other clubs if we f*** it this season and need to recoup money.
I think he stays even if we get relegated. Thats assuming Coops doesn't get the old heave-ho under those circumstances...

He won’t be thrown straight in anyway, Cooper always wants a couple of training sessions for players to learn what he expects of them.

And does he want his record signing thrown in without knowing what to do and looking like the wrong-shaped peg in the wrong hole? Wait a week, get him up to speed and have a storming debut at home.

The Dog and Duck have increased their bid to 40 quid and 2 packs of scampi fries and are now favourites to sign the player
As a former Left Back for The Dog & Duck, MGW also needs to know it is his turn to wash the kit, this week.

Wow.

This is getting serious now. When big EM said he was going to invest, he meant it. Wonder what our committed total wage bill for next season is now.

Fewer transfers next year with more spent on wages I guess and hoping more academy development?

I should know better than to read the Daily Mail online but their article is ridiculous. Discredited by the fact they say he’s 19 though so that tells you how much they check/know.

The fee’s “only” £25million which is the annoying part. Imagine a “ £50 million if he wins balon d’or in the next three years” clause. It wouldn’t matter if NOW he’s not played much in Premier League because the fee would be based on him being best in the world so then £75 million might be worth it as he’d been part of winning us the European Cup. Yes, that’s what I’m calling it.

I wonder if this will be done before midday. Then MGW can sit on the bench and maybe even have a run out when we’re already 4-0 up.

I was going to accuse him of stealing your homework.

Looks like one of yours, that.
Aye I think Rian attended the Bonfire school of art ……😂🎨

Thankyou Steve!
Beyond delighted with MGW, was the one I wanted to from the early rumours.

£25m seems very decent when we consider the price we put on Brennan coming off their fantastic seasons.

Happily pay them an extra £10m if we stay up and he makes 20 appearances, as we will have a) stayed up, so have more money and b) he'd have played a significant role in keeping us up.

If we ever pay the other £9m for us being in Europe, and MGW playing for England, then we'll be on another level to be worrying about £9m!

Completely agree, the headlines are so dumb,

25m - Good deal now
35m - If we stay up.... Good deal
42m - If we get into Europe/He scores 30 prem goals... Good deal,

I'm struggling to see in any way how it's a bad deal? When I first read 45m, I thought it was far too much but context is key here and it's a great deal

Let’s say there’s only room for one more incoming, who are you bunging your last £30m spare change on?
Another proven goalscorer? A Davis type hold up man? A pacey wide player? Another creative CM Aouar type? Jimmy G? Maupay? Jizz? A signing just to piss people off?

I’m going for an extra striker, so will blow Everton & Newcastle out the Broja deal, then sit back, light a cigar, say over to you SuperCoop and let twitter erupt.
