He was the standout performer for Sheffield united and they do want him back on loan, would be great signing

If Nixon says we are in for him, we can definitely cross him off the list.

Joking aside, I don't see us shelling out £20m for him personally.

I think he was one of the best players in the league this season, wouldn't look out of place in the Prem, if we were able to sign him for decent money £8-12M then perfect.

Be a great signing, but f***ing expensive.

Thought Lewis O'brien looked decent yesterday too.

He looks expensive. However we (Olympiakos' management) got a connection to Wolves after the transfer of Jose Sa and Daniel Podence that could open some options like loan+option to buy, co-ownership etc

Clubs are going to get a right shock when Forest are negotiating with them for one of their players and they ask for eight figure sums and Forest come back saying we'll give you a pack of raisins.

Hope we do go in for MGW but £20m is too steep. He might well go to another club for that, but Forest can't afford to chuck such sums away on one player. We need to be really careful with this new found money and not waste it.

And Forest‘s chief negotiator leans across the table and says, in an eastern Mediterranean-accented voice:

„Nice stadium you have here. It would be a shame if something happened to it, like it caught fire….or something?“

f*** it let's throw £51m at Dortmund for Erling Haaland and beat Man City to his signature!

20m is the starting price for a top end Championship player/low end Prem player now.

Boro want to start at 18m for Spence.

We want over 20m for Johnson.

MGW is as talented as those two players. I think the price will go down but that's what you are paying nowadays, especially as a Prem team.

I don't care about transfer fees, just don't go OTT with wages as they are what hamstring you as a club.

The MGW link is exactly the sort of player I would love us to target.

I could also see us going for a loan of a player like Callum Hudson Odoi. Ambitious but would be a serious signing.

Cooper won the WC with him (alongside MGW & Panzo).

We've utilised the loan system to great effect this season in the Championship. I'm sure we'll see 2 or 3 loan signings in the summer, so I'm very interested to see what calibre of loan signings we'll be able to make now. Cooper's reputation of improving young players and our Premier League status makes us a very attractive option.

We've got to be so careful that we don't start to think that TF fees of 20M+ for all and sundry are OK for us now we have hit the prem. Fees like that can only be justified for the occasional proven, top quality players that might come our way not young potential where we have to get them earlier than that or we've missed the boat.

Gibbs White looks a decent player, but I wonder if we are a bit late in the cycle to be looking at him...

Yeah I would rather we picked up the next potential gibbs-white for a much lesser price.
