Morgan Anthony Gibbs-White

If he doesn't sign, I'll be pronouncing it Morgan Gobshite.

If he does, it'll be Morgan God-like.

I knew he was quality and has shone in games against us. The cross for sharp at their ground, whilst on run was quality. However seeing the video of him-wow! He’d be a great signing for us-really excited if we get him, he would add a whole different dimension to our attacking game.

I'm basing it completely on his penalty miss in the playoffs but I'm really not fussed about MGW

Bottler who seems Championship rather than PL.

I think you're being facetious Harvey, given that in 4 games against us, he had 2 goals and 2 assists. Most of the highlights in that video seem to be against us in fact.

He’s built to play behind the striker. I think his highlights draw you in with his admittedly great control and handful of nice goals, but his passing is a different level to anyone we’ve had in a Forest shirt this millennium.

I really think he changes the game for us. Think how many times we wanted a quicker decision, better final ball, or clinical finish from Zinck. The space is there for a guy like MGW to thrive.

No it isn't. He just looked weak to me.

But like I said I'm basing it completely on his penalty miss.

He absolutely dominated us 2nd leg, had a slightly better record than BJ over the season and as I said if you're going to judge a player over a penalty miss you might as well judge Psycho.

Ignore the cost. He's young, already extremely classy and likely to improve further by a considerable margin. Given Garner looks unlikely to rejoin us , a perfect signing for this squad. Just get it done.

absolutely dominated forest ? Must have missed that , anonymous in the first leg , was okay in the 2nd , just struggling to impose himself in the game.

Well we can't ignore the cost-look where that's got us in the past. I'd really like to see him here-I'd say hes worth 15M and with the "prem tax" 20 isn't barking mad...particualrly as this one has upside if he progresses.
Just think this one has been going on for so long I don't think it will happen-given his position in the Wolves pecking order I think if there was serious intent on our part he would be here by now....

I think Wolves want a bidding war, as they need to raise money for their own transfer business. That is most likely the reason why they haven't agreed a deal with anyone yet despite MGW's name doing the rounds in the press.

We don't really have the time (or perhaps the financial muscle) to get involved in a bidding war. Best to file this one under 'highly unlikely' IMO.

I should have worded it better - I'm not suggesting we just keep upping the offer to 25, 30, 35 million . But if it's in the region of 15 million - and Wolves are standing firm on 18-20 million - and we've identified him as a key component, then pay the bit extra to get him. That seems to be the price range for most players in the bracket we're looking. We'd happily demand that range - or more - for Brennan and they're probably similarly valued, both with upside to come.
