Morgan Anthony Gibbs-White

Apparently, he's costing less than Gibbs.

Actually from the news, wolves are apparently willing to sell him cheaper than Gibbs at 17-18m
So, Johnson refuses to sign a contract and demands a transfer.

How much would you accept for him?

Also, the difference between MGW wages & Adama Traore's will make up the difference of the £2.5m you want to save by buying him instead. So that is a bizarre suggestion.

Not to mention they are hugely different players.

Adama Traore is a dumb player. All pace and muscles and nothing else. Not certain why people say Djed isn't worth 20 million pounds. Imho, he quite easily is.

You have to pay for young talent, that's how it works. I don't think £20m is over the top.

If we can pay £13.5m for Carvalho in the Championship we can pay £20m for Gibbs-White in the Premier League.
And lets be honest Gibbs-White at 20M is a far, far better gamble than Carvalho at 13.5. Statistically speaking you'd have a more than odds on chance of MGW being worth more than you paid for him after 2 seasons...

Yeah the Woking branch preferably, they know me in there... apparently...
Yeah right.

You haven’t got any mates, HRH. Especially ones called Jeffrey.

so we should pay 20m for spence and 15m for davis because they also ripped up the championship.. So easy , just pay whatever they want , right ?

I’ll give you a free lollipop if you can quote anyone on this thread who has said we should pay whatever the selling club wants

I think he'd be a good signing. Shame Transfermarkt doesn't work like Ebay, where a club can just log on and pay the quoted price (since it's just under £10m on there - I could get that Hungarian Sallai I mentioned the other day bought for a similar amount, add in Bale for £2.7m and that'd be the attacking mids sorted with I dunno £80 million or something to spend on a striker, a midfielder or two, Niakhate and some wing-backs/full backs, plus a couple of loans to finalise....ok probably not £80 million!)

If realism didn't matter, or wage demands etc and I was really head of Forest recruitment and could just log on and spend £100m on there maybe I'd just buy Verratti (a bit under 50m), De Jong (a bit over 50m), bring Carvalho back (similar price to Bale) and then regret not having anything left for the rest of the team/squad though (except a couple of loans which then probably wouldn't be Henderson and Garner I guess in that case, while in scenario A above perhaps that'd make sense!).

Gibbs-White could play as the left AM, a positive CM at times maybe (chasing a game, or looking at it more positively trying to bump up goal difference occasionally), centre AM if Johnson was a striker, we had an asymmetrical system or we went 4-2-3-1, maybe on the right switching with Johnson at times, so he'd be useful in that respect too, although I do think even if Zinkernagel came back we might still want another player too for left AM/winger if feasible.

Last time I checked on there I think Johnson would be off to anyone who had a spare £900k!

Bring back Carvalho?!!. Jesus Christ. Might as well get Kenny Burns out of retirement, he'd be as much use.
