Morgan Anthony Gibbs-White (of ENGLAND, but only for the last ten minutes)

Yesterday was the first time he got on the Wembley pitch in an England shirt. It was still only ten minutes, but it's progress. As was getting on when Eze didn't.

With four games in eleven days, clubs will have been in Tuchel's ear telling him the maximum time their players can be used. Surely, if only by default, every outfield player in the squad gets a start during this international break. MGW just has to take his chance when it comes.

And MGW joined the squad late, having been on his holiday when TT phoned him to beg forgiveness and for MGW to return to the fold.
I have a sneaking suspicion MGW will start on Tuesday.

And I wonder if Tuchel saying publicly that Palmer drops out injured too often and, we have to assume, recognising MGW will always answer the call even if he’s just landed somewhere on holiday might at least put MGW ahead of one of his competitors for the no. 10-ish role.

Let's hope he gets his chance.

We know and so do at least most supporters in the Premier League appreciate his threat usually by their own fan comments and all the data that seems to be available bullshit or not ... except the XG crap.

However his goals and stats for a player that was held at gunpoint apparently, has had 5 managers in a year and is the club co captain... should attract the German Clown a little more.

It would be nice to think so but I think somehow TT just doesn't like MGW and nothing he can do is going to shift that.

As Chris Sutton well knows, you can't really turn down an England call up. As soon as that number of MFs pulled out he was going to be called up and he was going to accept it, posh holiday or not.

He's far enough down the pecking order to not get meaningful minutes which is strange really when his output at club level is probably the highest out of all English attackers (except maybe Kane but he's in a lesser league) yet when it comes to playing he's behind Palmer, Rogers, Bellingham, Saka, Gordon etc etc for the AM positions. Saka is for some reason not as dominant as he was 3/4 years back and out of these then probably the only one who I'd say has actually delivered is Gordon. Going to Barca will be the making of him like it was for McManaman at Real.

If he makes progress on the international front whilst here, he may be more willing to stay.

Let's not forget Rodri grabbing MGW by the neck and also shouting "Free Gibraltar" when celebrating Spain's Euros victory...

Good footballer but an absolute tool.

I doubt it, I think the only way he stay is if we crack on domestically like the season with nuno and compete at the top end. The thing that makes gibbs white so special, is his ambition, thats also what will make him want to play at the highest level. As much as I like to see him stay, cant knock a move if he wants it.

Unfortunately for Gibbs-White I don't think playing for us has anything to do with it. It didnt prevent Anderson from getting in the side and we've seen plenty of first team football for players from Leeds, Palace or Everton.

It's just bad luck for him that he plays in a position that we are ridiculously well-stocked in. Most countries would kill for the no10s we don't even put in the squad.

Sadly I suspect we'll see Rogers for 65 mins then see him replaced by Bellingham, with MGW getting another 5 minute cameo at the end. That's if Tommy Tickle doesn't just play Eze at the end instead.

Rinse and repeat in the next couple of games.

Rogers has been pretty poor so far and with skelley on a yellow I hope to see Morgan in the second half for 45
