Depends who it is, that he’s shot with a rifle.Don't know why but I've got it in my head that Dennis is a bit of a wrongun. Something about shooting people with air rifles. Or is that someone completely different?

Perhaps he wanted a buy out clause we couldn't agree to. Or refused to agree to our wage cut demands if we get relegated. It would be a shame to not get him, looks to be the best player we've been linked with for an attacker.
I don't understand how we can fail to meet his demands when paying Lingard and Henderson so much, but I'm not the accountant.
Yes,but Henderson and Lingard are only on one year contracts-we can’t afford to be lumbered withIt would be a shame to not get him, looks to be the best player we've been linked with for an attacker.

Same here, I watched him a lot last season because he was in my fantasy team quite early - by the end of the season everybody had him.Dennis is the better player in my opinion so if he's around the same price he'd be my preference anyway. Just that Cornet offered LWB cover which Dennis doesn't, purely from an attacking POV I'd have Dennis every time.
If we are really going into negotiations with "we might fail" attitudes, we won't attract the likes of Cornet.I think people are right. We'll probably want him to drop wages in the event of relegation etc and he's probably not keen on that when he knows there's other suitors.
Clauses to reduce wages in the case of relegation aren’t unusual these days.If we are really going into negotiations with "we might fail" attitudes, we won't attract the likes of Cornet.
Every club will have them, just depends which club you choose on the liklihood of that clause getting activatedClauses to reduce wages in the case of relegation aren’t unusual these days.
Not him, brass players usually play flatWho cares about being sharp if you’re on £50,000 a week.
Thought he had called quite a few early on but could be wrong?!I think we have almost universal ageeement that that Talbot character knows zilch.
If we take off our red tinted specs for a moment and put yourself in the players shoes. He clearly took a move to Burnley to get his foot in the premier league door. Having then done well, you have to ask why he would then rush to prioritise signing for a newly promoted team who could well up in the same situation one year on.If we are really going into negotiations with "we might fail" attitudes, we won't attract the likes of Cornet.
Faint heart never won fair lady - as my Old Granny said to me when I told her, when I was 17 that the girl I fancied was out of my league.
Agreed but I really don’t think it’s a case of forest going in with the wrong mentality. It sounds and appears like we have been very sensible with signings, both in terms of fees and contract lengths with parachute payments in mindI just want Forest to sign players who genuinely want to play for the club, not players whose primary thought is looking out for themselves and f*** anyone else.
If Cornet is holding out for a better offer and prevaricating on a Forest move, then he can do one, as I am concerned.
What a wonderful world, VP!Every time I see Cornet I think of Louis Armstrong. I think I'm having delusions.
Yes thats also my recollection.Thought he had called quite a few early on but could be wrong?!
