Everton have signed a defender who got relegated and that's it. I'd be panicking if I were one of their fans.
I've got quite a few mates who support the Toffees. I can assure you they're in panic mode.

Nixon reporting that they want him on a "play now, pay later" deal, which essentially means they're f**ked. I feel if we offer more up front to wolves, we might be better placed for mgw
The did the same with Dele Alli, only problem is they have to pay now and they have to pay £40m for a player who is pretty crap.

Players would be mental to accept a contract like that.

Very good signing for them in a back 5, but I'd say it's good for us overall as it takes money out their pocket for MGW or Vrenckx etc who I think move the needle for us more than Maxwell does for them

While I'm not massively familiar with them, I believe it refers to how the fee is paid but it could also have player salary built in too. If you look at dele Alli, his transfer fee was 0, with 10 or something million after 20 games. Spurs were probably ok with it, knowing he was off the wage bill and they didn't need it right away. Alli was a much riskier signing, so I can see why it was done like this but essentially is derby, in a transfer format.

Ah apologies I completely misread your post - I thought the "pay later" was for wages, not the transfer fee!

Even so, Burnley can't be too thrilled at those terms.

No need to apologize, you may be correct when it comes to Alli, perhaps he has some form of pay as you play built in as well. I think you're spot on with Burleigh, they've no need to accept that and if they do, it'll probably be because the final fee is higher than they would otherwise expect. I personally would be accepting any form of "we'll sort you out later" deal from Everton, despite the owners wealth.

I love this film. One of my personal favourites.

John Belushi and Dan Ayckroyd were never better, and a superb supporting cast including John Candy, Carrie Fisher and Henry Gibson (who steals every scene he’s in as the leader of the Illinois Nazis), as well as a superb musical lineup including Ray Charles, James Brown, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, John Lee Hooker, Steve Cropper, Donald “Duck“ Dunn, Willie “Too Tall” Hall, Alan Rubin, plus hordes of other cameos, it is frankly brilliant.

You’ve pretty much summed it perfectly,

if there’s anyone on here who hasn’t seen the original blues brothers you’re in for a treat and you’re welcome.
