I've commented previously how easy it is to believe that other players represent an upgrade when in actual fact they're no better than what we have. Naturally, people only see highlights of other teams so only get the best bits of their players.

For this to work doesn’t the destination have to be somewhere you actually want to go? Man City or Arsenal maybe. Surely a player doesn’t get unsettled if West Ham in their current predicament or say Burnley start pretending to make moves for him!
The thought of being forced to play for West Ham at the national tourist stadium would be enough to unsettle any player.
