Percy linked us in his summer transfers article, Nixon now reporting Palace see him as a successor for Wharton. Asking price in my opinion £20m.

Yup, easy decision if that is the asking price. I will be interested to see who actually is in for Wharton though, I thought they were asking silly money for him.

Can't say I know much about him, but to be able stand out in that awful Southampton team is probably an impressive achievement in and of itself.

They were demanding something absolutely insane for Dibling at one point - near enough 100m.

Hopefully they've put down the pipe and come to their senses since then.

It's that he drops around a 7/10 every single week in their side which is what is impressive to me. Players can play in crap teams & drop the odd worldie. I would say it's more impressive to remain totally consistent in one of the worst teams ever at this level - at 20 years old!

This was posted on Forest Focus when they were talking about Dominguez & Anderson

Fernandes extremely good in the metrics we praise Dom & Anderson for. Again - the context of his age & the team he is playing in makes it way more impressive.

Bumping this as he got a mention from Percy again. I'd definitely take him, be a good Danillo replacement.
He's a really good young player, similar to the Anderson/Wharton mould I thought last year, perhaps with a bit more output threat. I'd love him.

From my limited viewings he seems like a talent, but I rate Dominguez so I'm not sure if he'd be an upgrade in the way that Luiz would be.

I suppose it depends if his game goes to another level in the next year or two as he's still very young and inexperienced.

The better we get the more I look at it as a squad game - he offers high work rate and more of a direct goals/assist threat... and transfer that to a better team than Southampton...

This would be a very good move. Is the recent mention anything more than a passing comment, or is there more in this interest ?

At his age he'd probably be happy-ish with a squad role too. Playing in Europe, starting the odd game, and working his way in. Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy with the signing, but central midfield seems to be the place we are most stacked at the minute.

I don't necessarily mean squad role, I mean improving the squad with greater returns - let them all fight it out.

Its about ceilings with this kid - 6g/a looking really strong in a premier league debut season in a really poor side suggests his is very high. I'm all in for this type of player - it's like when Wharton went to Palace, or Anderson to us (to a lesser degree - Ando hadn't stood out yet).
