Luis Eduardo Soares da Silva [Cuiabano to his friends]

Pretty sure that happened with Stamenic last summer didn't it?

Announced as signing in the first line, loaned out in the second. It must have happened at some point, but right now I can't actually think of an example of swhere we've signed someone and then waited a few days to announce they're being loaned out.

I think we will find this guy a bit of a wildcard. He's a great athlete, looks physically strong, and he has a bit of rashness to his game. Could be a brilliant signing. Or otherwise lol.

I'm not sure it's a case of we want him to go to Greece or elsewhere on loan but more we have to send him somewhere?

The math ain't mathing with the squad numbers and I cant see who else is going to miss out unless someone like Sangare is shipped out to Turkey this week.

Someone that we should be selling for more than anyone in the turkish league can afford you mean?

Williams/Zinchenko as LB cover until Dec. When Aina goes to AFCON - Zinchenko/Cuiabano as LB cover, Williams/Savona as RB cover?

Think he'd need to be registered now to feature in December?

I'm guessing he goes on loan to a European side, preferably English after his return.

So ... Nuno concerned about cover at full back and we send this guy back out on loan. Something doesn't add up here.

We have Williams and Zinchenko for LB and when the loan ends in December, Aina is off to Afcon and Williams can switch to RB. Timing makes perfect sense really. Cover already lined up and a cheaper deal because of the loan back.

Hope Zinchenko stays fit then.

Not sure what your beef is here. We will still have 4 fullbacks if Cuiabano goes out on loan.

To be fair AFCON does start on 21st December so if Aina goes we will be short for a few matches until Cuiabano can return.
True ... for some reason I thought the Savona transfer hadn't happened ... getting him mixed up with Galan. Too many players to keep track of! 😀

Don't forget that Bakwa can also play RWB and did so quite a few times last season for Strasbourg.

Got ample cover across the board now, if not quality at least in quantity.

Always was going to be one that missed out and it made sense for it to be Cuaibano.

Actually I often wonder in this day of wing backs why more wingers don't drop back more and provide that cover.

Of course, if they do why aren't they pressed into service as wing backs more often?

Pretty funny how this is apparently the first ever instance in the history of football of a young player immediately returning to his former club on loan for a bit.
