We were never going to replace Anderson like for like and we don’t need to.

We will play in a different style under OG, whereby success owes more to those in the system being suited their role and doing their jobs very well. We have to become more than the sum of our parts.
 
Played a half of the pre-season game against Sydney.

De Zerbi wants him to stay but can't guarantee him a role in the first team.

That he did. The context for people’s impatience should be remembered as relegation dogfight, points deduction, Cooper getting the boot and other signings such as Wood not exactly setting the world alight at first.

Like many others, if we were frequently finishing tenth, we’d give talent patience. When we think we might go down and the talent f*** off, we tend to want it to look reassuring.

Guimaraes to Arsenal seems inevitable now, which I would expect to then push through Newcastle’s interest here with Bergvall.
 
If this guy is really who we're after I might have to recalibrate a bit what I consider to be a Forest type player.

Guy has no bollocks on him whatsoever, but plays fancy football.

I get the sentiment as McAtee has looked far from a top 10 PL player so far at Forest. However, he's had a very disruptive first year and not much chance. Any player needs a decent run before they're written off.

I'd prefer he is backed (if the manager thinks he's up to it) and we spend the extra £45-50m on quality WB and CF options (add to existing budgets there).

The ‘need’ to wait until the 16th August under the new financial regulations, that would be 45 days from the Tonali deal. All to do with offsetting deals and/or keeping financial transaction separate.
