I've not yet had chance to listen to the episode but surprised at Temps' opinion. From what I've seen of Netz I've been very impressed. Don't mind Temps at all, even if he does try to make everything he says sound like it's the most profound thing that anyone has ever come out with.

I really want us to try wing backs more often next season, Netz is perfect for the left with neco/ola on the right, gives us the opportuniy to control midfield more, just an opinion like

Commercial Director I believe - possibly explains their new ‘rebel’ campaign.
The only „Rebels“ associated with cricket were the money-grabbing mercenaries who f**ked off to play in South Aftica during apartheid.

I wouldn't be surprised if the next part of our evolution is moving to a 3-5-2.

You've got the option of Neco/Netz and Aina to have it as a slightly more defensive setup or play wingers as one that's a bit more expensive. I've got no doubt we'll see this being tested in pre-season.

Notts have been The Outlaws for a good few years now, probably since the advent of 20/20 in 2003(?).

Surely Outlaws are Rebels too?

He forgets that players like Murillo and so many others we have had since promotion have elite mentality and attitude not like some of the shysters from his day.
Earlier in the podcast he was telling anecdotes about how dressing rooms would have parties when managers got sacked! That was the exact first thought that came to my mind too, the mentalities are just different. We saw that with the wasters that played for us during our Championship years, it is like a different sport at this level.

I was amazed with the difference, I just kind of assumed a huge percentage are massive mercenaries, maybe we have been lucky, maybe the recruitment is heavily based on attitude but how many of the players we have had since promotion have a stinky or unprofessional attitude?

Something that seems not to be mentioned much in terms of Netz’s experience is that he has 100+ Bundesliga games under his belt at the age of 21 or whatever he is. OK, so the Bundesliga might not be as strong (in depth) as the Premier League, but it’s not as though he’s only been playing age group games or has come from the Swiss second division or something. That’s a decent amount of high level experience for his age.

A handful of players have managed the rare feat of reaching 100 Premier League appearances before turning 21—usually because they debuted extremely young and became regular starters quickly.
Here are the most notable ones:
James Milner
Wayne Rooney
Cesc Fàbregas
Raheem Sterling
Michael Owen

A few close / debated cases
Some players came very close or are sometimes included depending on cutoff dates or appearance counting methods:

Gareth Barry (very young debut, but just misses strict cutoff in most counts)
Micah Richards (rapid early career, but short of 100 before 21)

Why it’s so rare
To hit this milestone, a player typically needs:
A debut at 16–17 years old
Immediate integration into the first team
Minimal injuries and consistent selection
That combination is uncommon even for top prospects.

This is why I could never understand why Dyche started away at Leeds by shifting Aina to the left and putting Abbot at right back especially with Gudmundsson being a pretty nippy lwb. Just keep Aina where he was and plop Netz at left back.

I think that was when I first properly lost faith in Dyche.

It does seem like a bad decision, but a manager does need time to see how a player is settling in (not just in the footballing sense) - it's quite common for new signings not to go straight in the team, and has been across multiple managers

I know it's already been said, but how on earth did we manage to get this guy for reportedly around 2 mil?
Somehow someone's got photo's of someone doing something, somewhere to somebody they shouldn't.
It is not like he is from some niche league either, he has well over 100 games in the Bundesliga at the age of 22.

You would assume it's going to be impossible to post a loss on this deal, he was basically free at this level. Seems like a really smart signing.
