LTLF ALL OVER THE WORLD!

From North London originally, escaped whilst very young, arriving in Carlton at about the age of eight, via Norfolk for a couple of years. Lived in Bingham from the age of 11 until joining the RN ten years later. Having travelled to various points of the compass at the tax-payer's expense I returned to Nottingham.

A couple of weeks ago I was in Spain on one of my regular visits and popped into Bar 13 on the Urb La Marina where I bumped into some fellow Trickies watching the game against the bin-dippers. I don't know if they were ex-pats or just on their holibobs. Spain is where I'm planning to retire to but haven't decided exactly where, so open to recommendations.

Anyone else live in the Vale of Belvoir?

Used to live and go to school in Bingham. My sister currently lives in Woolsthorpe, but not for much longer. I'll occasionally go to Harby for a pub lunch.

New fan here from Kelowna, BC, Canada.

Longtime Bundesliga fan and Bayern supporter but they are starting to turn my stomach so wanted a club with a rich history to support who wasn't owned by foreign oil/wealth funds.
Welcome! We have a couple of other Canadians on the forum already...

Wecome! Absolutely my favourite area of Canada to visit. Bit of a secret to most Brits, so you probably don't see many football shirts there.

Definitely not. We see a few token large club shirts - the usual Madrid, ManU, etc. Bayern jerseys are more common but that is more about Alphonso Davies being Canadian than anyone actually following Bayern closely.

I lived in Kelowna for a couple of years before heading back to Edmonton. Lovely in summer, kinda boring in winter (Unless you ski or snowboard).

This is my first post and this seems like a good place to start.

I’m originally from Notts, from the Ashfield area, but moved to Albuquerque, NM, USA nearly 15 years ago. I was a season ticket holder during the ‘dark ages’, it’s truly miraculous where we are now.

Forest’s reputation is really growing over here. When I first moved here you only ever heard of the usual clubs (Liverpool, Arsenal etc) but now when I tell people I follow Forest people know exactly who we are and usually say ‘man, you guys had an incredible season’.

We’re a big deal again [emoji41]

Welcome to the forum. It has been a truly remarkable turnaround from those old days.
We recently had our annual NFFC North America meetup in Ohio. It was a great time. Please consider joining us. We may be moving to 2 meetups next season. 1 may be in New Orleans this fall. It's still being planned. I know there are geographical challenges to having a supporters group in US and Canada but it would be great to meet up. I'll try to post updates as I get them.

I can’t think of many reasons to go to Ohio, but that’s one of them [emoji846] New Orleans would be very cool.

Definitely keep me posted, especially if anything gets planned for the sunny southwest.

Funnily enough, I was born and raised in Edmonton (so obviously a huge Oilers fan).

Not sure if this is the right thread, but wanted to say that I'll be in Kardamena, Kos island in Greece for a week in August, and will be watching the Crystal Palace game while there. The village has plenty of pubs where you can watch the football - I was there for our very first game back in the Prem. So, I was wondering if anyone from this forum might be there around those dates, as there are always many Brits around. If you are, come and say hi to the "local" Forest fan. I'm easy to spot. :ROFLMAO:

This is an ideal thread for such matters of importance, don’t worry about that!

(This forum has a long, weird and varied tradition of threads weaving completely and utterly off-course into uncharted territory, so you’re in good company there anyway!)

It's more in place than 90% of the threads on here. Which I think makes it out of place? I dunno. Schrödinger's thread

Yes, I've figured it can be quite forgiving to random thread hijacking to say the least. :ROFLMAO:
