I said to my mum who I was watching the game with tonight, that if they scored a second we were done but the moment I actually lost faith was when I saw Lucca came on for Wood. I understood then that the presence of those on the bench we'd want to be starting was just for show.

What a waste.

Lucca was loaned in as a sop to Dyche.
Dyche was never going to leave him out of the European squad.
We might have been obliged to include him as part of the negotiations to secure the deal.
Did Trump advise us on how to make that deal?
All i can say is, I am glad i won't have to watch that useless stream of bat's piss defile our WFCG much more.

We needed a striker able to play 90 minutes having had to play without one a couple of weeks before. At the time Awoniyi wasn't fit enough for more than a few minutes as sub. The fact that the striker we brought in was less than useless doesn't make leaving out Awoniyi a wrong decision. Deciding that Lucca was a better option than Kalimuendo however.......

Cannot wait for this lad to return to Napoli.

At the risk of sounding very harsh, looking back in the future he will be the first image in my minds eye when I think of the sheer chaos and dysfunction of this season.

A striker who can't score brought in by Edu to score goals under Dyche who was replaced by VP four weeks later and whom at one point we deemed good enough to want to buy for £25 million.

100% agree with the comments about Dyche. Taiwo, Kalimuendo etc but the most worrying thing is we had been linked with this clown for a while, even under previous managers.

Doesn't bode well for the summer if we are identifying this level of footballer for potential huge money moves.

I think I would rather stick with Syrianos' moneyball punts than blow a load of money on whoever is picking the big transfers.

Lucca is absolutely dire. One of only a handful of players since we came up that could genuinely compete with some of absolute dross we had in the EFL over 20 odd years.
