You do realise he picked him in the EL squad over Taiwo?

The same Taiwo who scored for Dyche on his last minutes played under him, to never see the pitch again… because of Lucca.

No way Vitor does the same.
Do you really think Dyche has had time to assess Lucca?

Because I don't. I think he put him in the squad because he asked for a big striker to get on the end of crosses and he got given one, so he had to make a choice.

You seem to have conjured up this whole scenario where Dyche has sourced and bought these players, when in reality, he likely had very little to do with it. Because if he did, we might actually have some decent players here as opposed to the shit that Edu had got us, of which Lucca is one.

I said in the match thread we should put Bakwa on up there instead and he might be a bit more like Kalimuendo. He does have pace which is something neither Lucca or Jesus possess and we could stretch teams in behind better. It might actually be a turning point for the lad.

Won’t happen.
He was bought as a winger.
He will only play as a winger.

I certainly preferred that kit, dodgy sponsor an all.

Did he even get into a position to score last night? No. He did not. I think it says a lot about how low Italy has sunk when he was in Gattuso's squad against Norway.
He is 500 metres tall, but fails to impose himself. Not that many others did, either. I will take Igor Jesus over him any day of the week as long as CHO and Hutchinson seem to think a good cross is supposed to land in some defender's feet or behind the goal.

TBF he got in the right position 2 or 3 times but every single time the ball was crossed behind him and he had to stretch backwards.

Did a nice little turn on the edge of the box which he should have had a foul for and in the middle of the park kept the ball with some nifty feet to win the foul.

So there was some good, not that it helped much.

Jesus could never score another goal again and I would still pick him over this piece of shit. He's up there with Origi for worst player in our current PL era.

Lots of revisionism over Kalimuendo - he was pretty poor - but there's no question at all he showed more in his limited minutes than this fraud.

Both the turn on the edge of the box and the foul in the centre circle featured abysmal first touches from him

It's because Kalimuendo has left and all of a sudden he's the 2nd coming of Jermain Defoe or something

just happy to be here
I also saw him jump in the air, something that I thought was impossible for him. I was so surprised I can't actually remember if he headed the ball or not!!

Played really well in the first half.

Held the ball up excellently and brought players into play. Showed some lovely touches too. He got absolutely mauled by the CB's all night and handled them well. Quieter later on as the game changed and we didn't hit him as often with the ball.

A much more encouraging performance from him. Hope that's a bit of a turning point for him.

Really? I thought he was as crap as he usually is. Touch like a brick wall and jumps 5 foot 2.

He tried harder though, which I suppose is a step in the right direction, given that he has looked like he’s doing us a favour the last few times he’s played for us.
