He is well-groomed. Nice Fascist haircut. Makes a spectacle when he is fouled. Or fouls.
That certainly makes up for his distinct lack of anticipation, his clumsiness and how his first touch somehow is harder than his headers.

I wish Forest had splashed out for Strand Larsen instead. Not because I am Norwegian. Because I knew Lucca was a poor choice. Strand Larsen is not Haaland or Sørloth by any stretch, but his movement off the ball is good, he is faster than Lucca and he is used to the EPL. He is also somewhat better at using his feet. Lucca might be better off using his on OnlyFans.
Bringing in VP and not signing JSL is Forests "joined up thinking" all over.

I think most would agree that a bit of arrogance and self belief is needed in a Striker, however been an arrogant Prick is only going to cause ill feeling.
Definitely need to have a swagger and arrogance about you as a striker.

That all needs to be underpinned by a work ethic and ability to prove you can back it up. In the absence of backing it up, get you're f*cking head down, graft your bollocks off and start endearing yourself to your teammates and they might just help pull you through it.

I get that he’s new to the team and English football etc and probably not match fit either.

But unable to trap a football? Come on man, there’s genuinely better target men in League One than this guy. Another cracking bit of recruitment from the club….
No excuse . You can see the difference and quality straight away when Igor Jesus was subbed on for him and it's his first season playing in England too.

Totally agree - Not sure why we didn't get JSL. That is 2 Jans in a row where we have needed extra bit of hep and nothing happened. Last year we should have got a Champions League place, but did not get the players in. This year could be in worse and get relegated - It has been constantly said that our recruitment team needs to be changed.

I expect the requirement to pay Wolves £48m was probably a factor.

48 mil is not to be sniffed at, but not having the funds spend that again falls on the recruitment strategy because you should always leave a significant amount to cover injuries and problem areas in the squad in the January window.

Spending 200 mil in the summer and next to nothing in January is typical Forest short-sightedness. We really have regressed back to the old Marinakis era ways. It's f***ing horrible.

You just know that when we spent that 200 mil, it was "we are going to buy 200 mil worth of quality and we have no backup plans because it is guaranteed all going to be brilliant".

Getting relegated will cost a lot more than that!
Wolves were doing a good job of getting relegated while they still had JSL and Vitor Pereira.

£48m was too much but we could have done a lot better with our other recruitment.

When Lucca, Bakwa and Ndoye were the front 3 the other game (Liverpool?), I dont even think many top end Championship teams would swap their front 3 for them. Absolutely shocking!
You have forgotten the gap between the divisions, or are just speaking in hyperbole, especially in regards to Bakwa & Ndoye.

Okay name a worse front three in the Championship top 6 then
Literally ALL of them. They are not on the same level.

You are also judging them all on small sample sizes playing at the highest level, the two wingers in particular will get better with confidence & patience.

You clearly have forgotten the difference between the divisions.

These are players who are not playing as a team. Lucca has been terrible, still he got one goal against Leeds when we played to his strength. He is never going to be a player that will run in behind in the PL, but he might be useful as a sub if we have loads of crosses into the box. I just shook my head when I saw McAtee trying to thread a through ball to him against Fenerbache. As Pereira said, these players lack confidence. They have been thrown together with no direction from the top, recruitment and management. Lucca should be a sub from now on, and only used if we go two up front chasing a game.

I havent forgotten anything but I'd have Johnson and Davis and even Grabban/Surrrige over those 3 any day.

You have forgotten. None of those players are playing in the Championship, and only 1 of them did anything at the level we are currently playing at (having a poor season as well)

I’d also have Harewood,Earnshaw and Antonio ahead of them as well.
Those three never played together, and again, only one of them did anything at this level.

Why are we changing the goalposts? The point was they aren't better than any front 3 in the current top 6 which is not true at all. I suppose I would take Gareth Bale ahead of them as he played in the Championship once if we are just plucking former Championship players out of the air.

I get it.. you lot think they are crap and would throw them on the scrapheap. I don't, because this season has been a shambles and an almost impossible environment for players to thrive in, none of these guys have been properly backed.

Not bothered anymore, just wanted to call out hyperbolic statements.

Disagree

Harewood got promoted with West Ham and played most matches the first season after and got 14 goals. He was then a PL player for them the season after and 2 for Villa and got 16 in 5 for Blackpool in 2010-11.

Earnshaw got 11 in 31 for WBA in 04-5 which was the year they stayed up after Ginger Gary left.

Antonio, I assume is the one.

Are you actually saying Johnson (who scored 8 goals for us in the PL) is worse than Bakwa or Ndoye?

The fact that Davis and Surridge are not playing currently in the Championship is irrelevant

They would both score more goals in the PL that Lucca would. In my opinion.
