I'm still traumatised by Kevin Francis sticking his finger up my arse when there was a corner kick being taken.

You could have just turned the TV off?

I remember Kevin Francis, very large man with even larger digits. My sympathies go to your ringpiece.

The outlet – relayed by CalcioNapoli24, report Nottingham Forest are one of seven clubs in the chase for the 25-year-old.

AS Roma, Lazio, Porto, Benfica, Juventus and Real Betis are the other suitors. Napoli, in the meantime, are considering parting ways, even if the exit will take some time due to technical issues.

This is because the Partenopei haven’t signed Lucca permanently from Udinese. They now either have to sign him permanently before a sale or renegotiate a deal soon.

A decision about the situation is expected to be made next week. Benfica are leading the chase but hope is not lost for Nottingham Forest.

Sean Dyche’s side will have to shell out €30m for a permanent move.

Him and Jesus would present an interesting presence up front together. I'd be intrigued to see that. Probably be one or the other though if purchased.

Forest have spoken directly with Napoli and Lucca.

Napoli initially wanted a swap deal involving Ndoye but we refused.

Talks ongoing and we're in the box seat.

Napoli want Ndoye? Can we just swap him for someone decent (not this beanpole)

He's one of those strikers that had a hot spell a while back but never really recreated it again. That said, he is quite tall (even if he rarely heads the ball)

Interesting thing is that does seem to be common in tall strikers somehow.

I wouldn't necessarily say they get it right, but I'm sure the club / Syrianos have a fair amount of data on potential signings and how they fit in the team. They will presumably only go for players first of all where they fit the team profile, and if tactically the idea is to get crosses into the box we need someone to get onto them or at least get the better of the defenders in that situation, we need a player who can get on the end of that, and if they aren't a finisher, players who can get on the second ball.

I wouldn't be too concerned about a striker with a lower scoring record, if their contribution to overall play was effective, but that also means we need players who can take opportunities from that play.

A big striker who is aerially dominant would usually be an advantage, maybe this lad isn't that. But right now what we need is a direct replacement for Wood, whom it is looking increasingly likely we have seen the best of, and his attribute is good positioning and being a very clinical finisher, trouble is that is hard to find in a proven player without spending money we don't have, so this is where the club are clearly trying to compromise with players like Kalimuendo who fit the model in some areas but not in others, and perhaps a bit so with Jesus.

We've also seen plenty of examples of a player who has good attributes but the team isn't set to use them well, so we don't see the benefits they have in the play or more measurable returns such as goals, I guess we even saw that with Wood under Cooper vs Wood under Nuno.

tl;dr if the club think he fits in it is worth a try

One goal in fifteen for a team in 3rd place in Serie A. He's 25.

Looks like a Dyche player. It's a resounding No, from me.

Hopefully Marinakis isn't stupid enough to buy tall players just to fit the short term Dycheball initiative. They have to fit the criteria of having resale potential too, surely.

I do agree with you but it’s a catch 22. We need a striker urgently and who is realistically available in January for us to get? And I’m not talking about some random wonder kid

Kalimuendo joins Frankfurt on loan

Nottingham Forest forward Arnaud Kalimuendo has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan.

The deal includes an option to buy worth for around £23.5m.
Kalimuendo only joined Forest in the summer from French side Rennes but has struggled to for minutes.

Sky in Italy are reporting that Forest have made an enquiry for Napoli striker Lucca.

From what I've read about this bloke, we'd probably genuinely be better off signing Keiffer Moore.

A tall striker that's crap in the air, can't score and I'm assuming probably doesn't even have pace to make up for any of it.

Sorry, but this chap sounds absolutely shite.

I bet there's some connection with his agent and Jorabachian. You just know it.
