According to Fabrizio Romano, Standard Liège want him on loan with an option to buy.

Another defender has just popped into my head - do we still own Loïc Mbe Soh?
We really need to start shedding some of these players in these next two windows. It’s absolutely mental I’m not even sure who we own and who we don’t. Some of these players I thought still had a bit of value, maybe some do but it is a dwindling amount.

I know it isn’t totally our fault as some of these players we outgrew in May 22 at Wembley, some bolstered the squad that summer and didn’t work out. Harry Arter we bought two decades ago…

But I’d say it is a lesson learnt that if you treat these players to constant loans and as surplus you don’t get settled output from them. Hopefully going forward we can be a lot more frugal and just turnover a few players per window.

Another player who looks to be failing to fulfil their potential by turning in another poor loan spell.
Not great for us either as his value is diminishing.

The same approach seemed to work fine for the likes of Chelsea, who have been farming loan players for years.

They generally buy very young top talent though and it seems to be a very well thought out revenue stream in that regard. Ours are just bought and loaned out if they don’t work out here. We are wasting a lot of money out of our budget and ffp total on players and loaning them out until we can somehow get shot of them. Some of these players we paid a lot for, have paid huge wages for and they are now almost worthless.

Fair point.

I asked the question in another thread about Chelsea. When they spend on a player to go in to their academy does that class as spending on the youth academy or a transfer fee in regards to FFP?
Its a good question - I think it's structure payments rather than players that are FFP free, though I'm not sure about that or whether loans are different (and would have implications for Borges/Reyna). I suspect not but I don't know.
