Joseph Adrian Worrall (The Club Captain!)

Looking around and he doesn't have his own thread.

He has been our best central defender since Warburton has been here, and that's from a manager that want's to play it from the back and it is very difficult to do.

He didn't put a foot wrong today and hats off to him, another one from the Academy that is well at Championship standard.

I always like a Defender, and one who's come through our own Academy too.

He looks like a proper 'stopper as well.

Several have given him abuse on here, remember this is his first season as a regular professional and I do not think he's disgraced himself at all.

He is our bravest defender, hands down. He is always showing for the ball and rarely has sloppy moments with the ball at his feet. That, for a young defender that is very large in size is fantastic.

We have a great core of players, especially those that have graduated from the academy. I hope we hang on to them rather than flog them to the first bidder

he did play well today, but to suggest he didnt put a foot wrong is a little of the ole red tinted spectacles, or did you forget when he massively sliced a clearance and brought down an Ipswich attacker just outside the box? was very lucky not to give away a FK in a dangerous area and not get a booking for it.

As i say, he played well, but he showed his nerves on a couple of occasions (as did Smithy in goal), this isnt to deride them, the both played big parts in todays resut and hopefully will be part of our team for many yers to come, but lets not gloss over their mistakes

I wouldn't agree with the sloppy bit. QPR's first goal and he nearly let them in today with sloppy moments. He's had a fair few over the season, I suppose who hasn't springs to mind though!

He's only a young lad and you can work around it, he's got bags of potential it just needs a bit of work and he'll come good. Seems to give a damn as well which is great.

he sliced one, but was epic non the less. Seemed frequently be the guy stopping the opposition, and surprisingly solid on the ball

Looks to be improving every game, although theres a couple of mistakes per game you would expect from a youngster.

Exciting propspect, bleeds Forest & will progress quickly under Warburton.

Another academy success story who will be worth shit loads in quick time.

Some might agree with that statement sadly. It's incredible really, Smith wasn't good enough not long ago.

A rarity when someone manages to :whoosh: themselves.

He didn't put a foot wrong today. It was a game for the players to step up today and he did it with spades. MW obviously has faith and he looks more assured in the short time MW has been here. He's gonna be a better player next year, as I believe the squad will be after MW and his team have had a preseason with them. Possible future captain??

And he's only 20 years old (and only played 20 odd Championship games). Give him a bit of bloomin' time to learn and improve.

Iacovitti shouldn't be far behind either.

If Worrall wasn't making mistakes I'd be calling for a drugs test. They've just been highlighted more because of the fact the few he has made have come in crucial games when every kick matters because we needed points.

Should be a regular next season. He will have learnt a lot from this, another one who will hopefully receive a Warburton education in the summer and be raring to go.

He looks a lot better than Lascelles did in his early games at forest. Thought he was great today bar the mistake that nearly led to a free kick.

Lascelles started at 18 at forest and u can tell that he's quality. He has matured so much since his move to newcastle , i'll be shocked if he's not selected for england in the future. Worrall is not quite the same , will be interesting to see what warburton do with him.

Most on here saw the potential of lascelles. He had the physical attributes and was just lacking the leadership qualities. At Newcastle hes got them, being the captain of a title winning side. If Worrall is as good as lascelles I'm be happy

Worrall doesn't have the pace and that will be his downfall. The QPR first goal , he was turned so easily and once the striker is away , worrall simply doesn't have the pace to catch up.

Folk used to say that about Wes Morgan.

You remember him, the lad who captained his side to the Premier League title last season.
