Limited but always put a shift in. Probably would have been a better option at times that Bakwa, N'Doye and sometimes even Hutchinson this season - especially when Dyche was manager. However, if he's back with us and in and around the first team next season, then it's going to be another long, hard season.
I actually quite liked him.
Scored more goals for us than Hutchinson, Bakwa and Ndoye. But Savona has as well.

Hopefully we can get a promoted club to stump up for him. I'm with Chappers here, hoping that Jota has suddenly added/removed the problematic parts of his game when he struggled to even get a kick for Besiktas is wishful thinking.
Loved the bloke for his effort and commitment but he was always good for at least one really dangerous free kick against whenever he was on the pitch. He's almost like a wide playing version of Yatesy but with less football intelligence. I like what he can do and if I was a team coming up I'd be interested for the PL experience and tenacity, but with where we want to go as a club it would be a backward move to go back to Jota in my opinion.

I’d love him back as a 4th winger/utility forward. He is chaotic but makes things happen and works his bollocks off. He’s got a role to play and would have been handy this year

Love him but he's getting sold as is Ndoye.
The stats are alarmingly lopsided on this. Counting Premier League games:
Jota Silva (24/25 season): 840 mins, 3 goals, 2 assists
Omari Hutchinson: 1,606 mins, 1 goal, 6 assists
Dilane Bakwa: 552 mins, 0 goals, 2 assists
Dan Ndoye: 1,176 mins, 1 goal, 1 assist
James McAtee: 277 mins, 0 goals, 1 assist
So to confirm - that's more goals in 840 minutes than the 4 arguable replacements managed combined and only Hutchinson has had as much impact overall (from twice as much game time).

That’s why I could see VP having a decent look in pre season.
He is deceptively good at heading too. I remember him almost scoring v Man City last year. When he came on as impact sub he always gave defences something to think about.....ours and theirs.

I think it's pretty damning that we spent the best part of £125m on 4 of those players and got 2 goals from them from a combined 39 games.

My main gripe with Jota Silva, was he was too quick to throw himself to the floor. That can be coached out of him. As others have said, let VP have a look pre-season. If he doesn't cut the mustard, then move him on.

Jota seems better in hindsight than he actually was due to how poor the wingers this year have been.
I'm not convinced he'd add anymore to the squad than the wingers we already have and to be fair I'd be looking to improve on them too, in fact aside from the probable replacement for Anderson it's the number one priority this summer.

Jota was okay for us, he impacted a lot of games from the bench, plenty of times that should be deemed good enough.
