This would be top drawer stuff, has been consistently good in the championship for some time now. I'll be seriously impressed if we get him.

I'm sure he was on the plane to Besiktas this morning. Perhaps just on his holibobs before joining us then.

Apparently big chance he signs a pre-contract agreement with Besiktas. Would be delighted with him here, but will believe it when i see it

FOUR SECONDS FFS

A lifetime mate.

I've sold eight million options contracts in that time frame and lost a similar paper amount too. :hey:

Hopefully we sign him, would be a big upgrade for us. If he signs for Besiktas they must be chucking some cash at him, saying that not sure if trust the Turks to pay on time.

Bestikas just doing their bit to help out Forest. "Accept the Red's derisory offer or your player will join us for free next summer". Then we'll take one of Besiktas' reserves or send them Drager as a thank you when the deal gets done for Wallace.
We're playing 4D chess this transfer window while everyone else plays Snakes and Ladders.

2 bids rejected. No where near Millwall's valuation. Same old.

Good. Let's test them right until the end of the window if no other club is interested.

Seems our policy is to only offer big money for players from other countries. Many of whom are unproven in this league.

We were being linked with Swift and Wallace last month as their contracts were due to expire at season's end, what a side we'd have if both came in.

Surely it would be bad business to offer big money for a 27 year old who is on a free come July?

He knows the league and appears to be just what we need to possibly push us over the line.

It's all well and good playing hardball as he's soon to be out of contract. But the likelihood is we'll miss out on proven Championship quality in an area we're short, yet be willing to spunk 3-4 million on players with no Champ experience,
such as those we were linked with in the summer- who are a huge gamble.

If he won't come to us in the summer then he's not going to come to us in January. He knows he'll have suitors one way or the other so if he's not fussed about Forest he'll bide his time to summer, wait for other offers and also likely get a bigger signing on bonus as the buying club won't also need to consider the transfer fee.

I also don't think there's going to be many players we spunk £3m+ on who are going to be a huge gamble. If we buy overseas players for that then the expectation will be they have to be really good, because there's a lot of obstacles to overcome (language barrier, culture etc) to make it work. More likely our overseas purchases will be in the <£2m mark, like Ojeda.

Forest should stick to their guns, test Milwall's resolve until the final few days. See who budges first.

It looks like a replacement for young Brennan. Cook for Worrall...

It's inevitable they'll leave so getting in quality now is just good planning.

Fingers crossed on this one. Besiktas might be more money for him but Forest could be tempting, especially if he's living in Saaaf Laandan.
