Not sure on this one. I mean, he really is a great player on his day. Has he been done over by Pep or is he just a bit off the rails now….

If we got pre-City Grealish, he would be a real asset.
I think the money he has banked at City and the destruction of his creativity by Pep has probably destroyed him as a real talent and the change from bright young thing to cynical under-achiever may well be irreversible.
If anyone can relight his fire it is Nuno.
But it would be a risk, probably as big as the Lingard risk.

Too much of a circus, and for a club our size it means putting most of our transfer budget on a soon to be 30 year old player who hasn't done anything for a couple of years - played 40 games in 2 seasons and scored 4 goals. This is Jessie Lingard mark 2 written all over it - hope we have learnt from our mistakes

Nor a rumour but I see Everton are in talks for loan move. Can’t help thinking he could sole some of our issues on the wing? Help him rediscover his love for the game where Pep seems to have sucked it of him?

Think there's already a Grealish thread. Not for me, wages too high. Was gonna say doesn't fit our model either but we've had some success with older players recently (Wood, Boly) so maybe it's feasible on some level. But the wages are just too high for me and I don't see him choosing us. Is he motivated enough. He had a cracking game for England last autumn but that's a while back now

No brainer for me.
All the talent in the world, a good lad in the dressing room & will be desperate to prove himself in a World Cup year. Big wages but will be worth every penny.

Apparently Man City want £12m for a one year loan 😮

Has Pep ever taken an individual and made them better?

Whilst I totally accept that Pep is a world class coach, however I'm fairly confident that if you gave me £2B worth of world class stars I would comfortably win the league too.

Had we lost MGW I’d have been very keen for this. But we didn’t and we invested heavily in that decision so no point paying big wages in the same part of the pitch. I don’t believe he’s a winger at heart, if we want to see the best of him.
