When Umbro did some well tailored (and cotton) shirts, like the star trek one from 2011-12, they had some similar finishes. It really makes the shirt special.

We're sponsored by Bally's Corporation, who only really own casinos and online gambling-related operations. The equipment manufacturer is Bally Technologies. These days the ownership is entirely separate even if the name and logo are nearly the same.

I suspect in this case any attempt to work around the rules would end up being very obvious and result in a stiff warning.

I assume that Bally Technologies is the company that was previously the world's leading pinball machine manufacturer, as referenced in The Who's classic single, Pinball Wizard - "I thought I was the Bally table king...."?

A truly iconic name in American cultural history, which I was hoping was going to be our shirt sponsor when it was initially announced.

The Ballys font is something that i love, partly because it reminds me of the Labatts font from 94-96. Pity we won't have them for that reason alone in my view because its bound to be some kind of shite insurance company that looks awful and makes the kits look worst (whereas i thought the Ballys made it pop a little - even with the pinstripes)

Football shirts these days are offensively expensive and I have always sworn I will never pay those prices. However if this were indeed our actual kit (I'm sure it won't be) I would slap down my 75 English pound notes on the shop counter faster than you would ever believe. This would be absolutely sensational.

I agree with every word of that. I haven’t bought a shirt since they went from 50 quid (already a rip-off) to 60 to 75 in two seasons and have said I’ll only get another one if I really, really like the design. This one would definitely meet that criterion.
