Haha it's got trefoils all over it. Someone's been listening, asking for a trefoil for years so they give us a shirt covered in them!. Echo what someone said - if only this was the home shirt

Controversial opinion but I actually don't really care about having a trefoil on our shirts in 2026, the only shirt I would like to see a trefoil on is an official adidas replica of the 1979 and 1980 shirts

It's been said a thousand times on here but they would sell tens of thousands of shirts if they put that out, and not just from Forest fans either
 
The Forest gear is usually gash.... but Adidas have done well there with that range.

The long sleeved one should be the home shirt and the Green and white one the away they would be instant classics

If the long sleeve one was to be our home kit , it will be ruined by a big gap in-between the 3 stripes for the badges on each sleeve. I'm happy with the way it is now and more unique for the fans.
 
The modern day sponsor would mess up the retro look as well.

Championship Sheff Utd and League One Leicester have trefoil shirts this season. They were all over the World Cup. They soon lose their retro appeal if they are everywhere now for a few years. That's protected a little bit by not producing new trefoil home shirts. A red trefoil Forest home shirt is still a classic for now.

100% this is what the home shirt should look like, but I don't think we could have the trefoil pattern on a home shirt - there is some obscure rule about the kit maker's name or badge not being too prominent or featuring more than once on a shirt.

It's why our yellow Labbatts one from the 90s had "UBMRO" in the main pattern.

Now that..... is what I call a useless fact.
 
Unless it has drastically changed since I saw it, that's still not it. The shade of green is wrong, the leaf pattern is wrong (though not miles off), and it's also missing the red trim.

Fair play to the club for keeping it under wraps so well.
 
Re Adidas, just seen a documentary on Hitler's Olympic Games of 1936.

Apparently Adi Dassler made Jessie Owens a pair of hand made running spikes and that produced a surge of publicity for the company.

There's a reason that colours are coded digitally in '5-6-5' format - a 16 bit data block containing 5 bits of red colour information, 6 of green and 5 of blue.

The human eye is massively more sensitive to, and receptive of, green above other colours, so much so that when colours are encoded, significantly more (twice as much in 565) data is allocated to green than the other colours.
