Incident Involving Billy Sharp

Eddie Yates

Steve Chettle
I won't reply on twitter to them, but some (seems to be a larger than expected majority) of their fans condoning what happened because of fans being on the pitch.

I agree they shouldn't have been on the pitch, however the two blunts players shouldn't have gotten involved. If they were that scared for their safety they could have easily walked 10 yards to the tunnel to escape but they stood around for atleast 60 seconds before it all kicked off.

The same people sticking up for both OM and RB are completely ignorant to the fact their own fans did the same thing (invasion of the pitch) when they won promotion a couple of seasons ago.

The hypocrisy is astounding.
They also invaded the pitch when they knocked us out the cup a few years back

You can file Curtis Woodhouse under Leon Knight.

Decent young footballer with an ego the size of Ronaldo’s, end up becoming a complete journeyman with a wasted career and spend the rest of your life being a gobshite.

I'm not sure it's been mentioned on here but i was listening to SJ on talksport the following morning and he was saying that a friend was messaging him during the game who was in the press box saying that if MB didn't stop goading the Forest fans that something bad was going to happen..

Their forum makes for hilarious reading. 8 pages of complete denial and 'whataboutism'. I don't think there is a single post acknowledging there's obviously been enough evidence to charge them, so maybe they deserve whatever punishment comes their way.

Apparently it's all a police stich-up...

Lovely club. Lovely people.
Including someone with wait for it... a profile pic of them their fans on the pitch somewhere!

The way SUFC as a club from top to bottom behaved in that second leg play off game is anyone actually surprised at the statement they put out yesterday?

I thought similar about their managers actions. No excuses for the twat that hit BS - he deserved what he got and us an embarrassment to our club. Blades fans ought to be feeling similar about their players I'd have thought. Wonder if OMcB gets some bird out of this - doesn't he have previous?

He got a fine and caution. Not sure if a caution stays on your record and counts towards any future acts?

Only been charged with common assault anyway so maximum is 6 months custody under the worse circumstances. Given the nature of the atmosphere around them I’d be surprised if they don’t just get fined.

I noticed it was common assault too. Technically the least serious of the assault charges, it's they same one that they use of someone makes a threat and the victim claims they felt threatened.

Most likely a fine and some community payback. As you say his previous for something of a similar nature was just a caution.

I don’t understand the ‘people shouldn’t have been on the pitch’ argument (even though they shouldn’t have).

It’s simple. Were your actions (stamping on someone’s head) reasonable and proportionate to the situation?

Ah, good - at least this will draw a line under it all, although previous visits to Bramall Lane suggest our next will be a lively affair. Last one I went to (FA cup I think) was whipped up hugely by the local police too. Let's hope we don't play them for a while...

Hope we never play the stinky dirty classless cutlery-shagging tossers ever again.

A proper sad read that is, grown men with so much hatred inside.

So glad we are signing Henderson, hopefully Gibbs-White as well. We will be a road show of "here's what you could have won!" for them all season.

Oh to add to that, I would nick Sander Berge as well. Properly tip them over the edge.

Even if we don't want him, and then loan him to Sheffield Wednesday for the season

Yes it does, a caution is admitting the offence, and it's usually a first offence so is deemed as a perceived slap on the wrist, but it is still a conviction of sorts.

It can and will be taken into account
