Doesn’t seem a very us signing… obviously even disregarding the 70m bit. Have we ever paid top whack for a Prem player in his prime? He has a bit of one season wonder vibes for me, thought all summer Brentford should have cashed in. Obviously complete guesswork though. Hopefully not a panic bid.

I think Thiago is unlikely personally and he would have little or no resale value on an expensive contract.

I've only seen him last season and in a few games, probably the same as anyone on here I'd imagine but from what I've seen he's a box finisher.
That doesn't seem like the striker that Glasner goes for and tbh without wingers it's probably not the type we require.

I agree that it’s unlikely. On resale, although he looks older, he’s only just 25, slap him on a 5 year contract and he’ll be in his prime when we look to sell in 3 years.

I think this is exactly something Marinakis would do so I don't actually doubt it's validity. I've said from the beginning I think we'll go really big on a striker.
Brentford selling him and him wanting to come are two completely different things though.
