Igor Jesus Maciel da Cruz of BRASIL - sponsored by Notcher, who has constantly said that he's not a PL striker

Yeah, he'd surely be taking a serious pay cut to go back to Brazil. He's well liked here and seems settled. No reason to move on (unless his wife really wants to raise their kid in Brazil I guess).

Obviously not a goalscoring striker, though he is a striker and has scored some goals.

Since Woody came back and they have been paired, things have, in the main, gone well so I expect the staff to work on that basis over the Summer.

Looking forward to seeing him next year in a more relaxed season. I know the Prem is not a relaxed environment, but this last week has shown just how tough and hectic it can be.

50th appearance for the Reds today which means 50 this season. Shows what a long, hard season it has been and how well Igor has done, particularly as he joined us immediately after the world club championship.
He has played 134 games since the start of 2024, and 80 since the start of 2025!

He must be knackered, especially based on the way he plays.

I am sure he will want to go to the World Cup but it would probably do him well if he doesn't!

The Brazilian league is relentless. They play so much football and the off season isn't even that long if I remember correctly. He's due a well earned rest at the end of the season.

He's the one to watch next season. With a full pre-season and some actual time off after playing for two years straight, not to mention a year of adapting to the PL, he's going to be twice the player. And he's been tidy in his debut season.

Agree with this. I think he's done remarkably well in his debut season in the Premier League under very difficult circumstances. He will have learned a lot and we'll see an even better Jesus next season. One thing you cannot deny is his work rate and attitude, which goes a long way for me. Looking forward to seeing how he progresses.
