Would LTLF's technical boffins be kind enough to provide a beginner's guide to how to get iFollow please?

I would like to be able to see it on the TV set in my living room.

Thank you.

What other tech have you got?

I have everything you could wish for in a modern technologically-forward house.

My parents and I dare say many thousands of supporters have a smart TV at best.

Smart TV's usually have web browsers.

„Don’t bother“ would be my advice.

It’s an exercise in hoop jumping to get it to work on a big telly, you may get it working if your smart TV has a competent web browser.

Works for me. Can't remember if I've used Chromecast or just hooked up the TV as an extra monitor.

I've only ever watched dodgy iFollow streams but they've generally been fine for me. I usually just run a HDMI from my laptop to the TV.

I don’t think I’ll bother.

I logged into my Forest account.
Clicked on I follow & the Wendies game is sat there ready to roll.

Assuming it plays when I push play, I'm in with a chance.

Anything technical beyond that, Im f**ked.

I presume it’s one that can get channel 5 without having to move the aerial on to the windowsill

You monster. Rod Hull died for such modernity.

Look, let’s be honest here, the iFollow service was outsourced to a remote service provider who I’m vaguely acquainted with (disclaimer: they are wank) and this was done for cost reasons alone.

Their native apps are - frankly - rubbish, the UX is about five years out of date, they ignore repeated requests for improvements and fail to implement even basic usability (like picture-in-picture, for one example) whilst taking a substantial amount of money (over €110 a season) for „remote“ users, who are limited because any game shown on Sky in the U.K. is „blacked out“ (can we say that anymore?) elsewhere in Europe.

For the sake of arousing the contempt of Lord Beaverbrook, ah, sorry, Francis Benali (On Loan), the quality of service I get from VfB Stuttgart TV (a completely in-house production that gives you all Bundesliga games, youth and reserve fixtures plus daily interviews and press conferences) pisses all over iFollow for only €39 a year. I spend more on coffee in a month.

Derby left iFollow (or never joined?) and started their own service which allows you to watch all youth/reserve/senior games of theirs with interviews/press conferences etc . I remember watching an u23 games of ours against them and it was the level of production you would want from your club. Think Leicester went this route too.

Forest need to start growing this aspect of the club. We following behind in so much to east midlands neighbours in so many things.

Supporters Trust have trotted out a "it costs the club money for every fan they let access ifollow" line today.

Wouldn't if they'd done what Derby and Leeds do
