Hi has anyone managed to get Forest tv working via a vpn. I am using my work vpn for Amsterdam but I cant see the option to buy a game pass for Swansea, just audio, I have a good old fashioned FM radio for that.View attachment 13820

I've never thought of exactly how it would work because in practice you're circumventing the legal blackout for not showing 3pm games or televised games...

But ignoring this for a second because it's boring, I'd expect that you'd need to be on the VPN for it to be able to show you located in that area, check against a blackout list locally, and then once purchased the pass you would need to use the pass on the VPN too.

I've not tried this though...

I'd assume if you're showing as NL on the VPN and the match is on Dutch TV as RR85 said it'd be blacked out so the Audio option would be the only one available.

Confirming Statto's post ... you need to check with the blackout list and then select a country that isn't on the blackout list. Broadly speaking, countries that have purchased the rights to the EFL Championship will be broadcasting matches, and therefore ForestTV don't have the rights to stream the matches to those countries. For 'popular' teams, like Forest this can mean fewer games available via Forest TV which is frustrating.

I've purchased the season Forest TV pass, and for matches that are blacked out, I use a VPN (Express VPN or Nord VPN work for me) to connect to a country that doesn't broadcast Championship matches. Typically, I choose Taiwan as my VPN country (choosing a country nearby should help in terms of latency and bandwidth).

Is there a blackout in the premier league? Just wondering if those who can't get tickets will be able to stream games that aren't on sky? Does the sky red button show premier league games?

This is the perfect season to launch NFFC TV. Something similar to MUTV. Features on players, interviews with club employees, ex-players. All done on a twice weekly basis or more.
Basically, stepping up our output big time. There are YouTubers out there that get more hits than our own channel.

Forest´s own out is, as you say, very poor.

Max and Dore offer better quality.

Yes, and without any real official media access, just waving a mic in front of fans mainly and talking to them.

He's 18 now so being a child isn't going to be a barrier to the club hiring him any more. He would definitely be great at interviewing the players etc, doing introductions, video features on new signings etc. As a fan I'm sure he'd probably love working for the club as well.

They should make it happen

Absolutely, I can't think of any good reason why he shouldn't be officially involved with our media output. I'm sure it would be a dream come true for him too

His content speaks for its self but even the live interview he did on Sky was excellent, the way he composes his self you wouldn't believe he's only just turned 18. The type of person you want associated with the club, i'm sure the lads would enjoy him being around too

And you're assuming that NFFC have appropriate commercial acumen.

Welcome to not selling 30,000 of the fluorescent 3rd kits before the Wembley trip

Buy a foam hand instead. Enjoy.

Don't get why they don't keep current stocks of the shirts for the season they're relevant.

Though I really did much prefer it when our shirts lasted two seasons instead of one, and the home / away&3rd changed alternate seasons. Guess that involved fewer shirt purchases with 3 every 2 years than 3 every year though.

Didn't they also drop a big hairy horse bollock with the "limited edition" retro 90s yellow shirts? A lot of people liked that shirt at the time. Fortunately I managed to get one, though I still have the original, it doesn't fit because it fitted at the time (when I was twelve) so I can't really wear it lol.

If there's demand they should keep it stocked simple as. Then if there's old stock sell them for like £5 each at the end of the season.

Does anyone know if Forest TV will be available in the Premiership?

Living overseas it has been terrific to see all Championship games live and enjoy Radio Nottm commentary despite early frequent technical glitches. When on SKY in UK I can watch here in the US on ESPN+. I found Forest TV broadcasts every game in some countries that do not have a deal with SKY!!

Even if it is, Forest will find some way to bollocks it up.

There are ways and means to watch every game, and it's pretty simple to do with minimal to no cost.

It just depends if you're willing to stream "illegally", have the patience to sort it, or are tech minded enough.

For sure, I am well aware of this.

There are some really good in-front of the camera people out there who could do an official job for Forest, and I completely agree that Max should be at the top of that list.

Forest should be churning out content at a fast rate for the forthcoming season. There is so much that can be done and with different talent that it would never have a lull in output.

In this world of content is king, Forest aren't even close to being in the deck of cards.
Heck, during lockdown I produce and presented a fortnightly video series about 90s films. It was literally me writing it, filming it and then passing to my mate to quickly edit and then it was uploaded. With so much cheap technology nowadays it's easy to knock something together and it look/sound professional.

Is there a Forest TV Thread? Using this IFollow thread anyway. Anyone have info on when the 2022-2023 season long streaming pass will be available for purchase? see this Friday Coventry game is available for 5 quid.

Don't think you can get streaming passes in the premier league as pretty much every country has tv deals in place with the premier league

You don’t, hence the „your own your own, mate“ advice from Forest.

Sky Sport DE, if you’re in Germany, has the Premier League.

Forest TV should be another priority for Murphy and MM. Content, more content. You seem to have clever people running the club's social media (I find it cute that they respond to fans' request for photos of particular players from training, for example), so quality is not a problem, but I would guess quantity is also a requirement in the Premier, as the fan base expands.
