Burnley have spunked a lot of cash.

Considering the owners there brought it with a leveraged buyout it is a bit of a strange business model they are operating with. The reason that worked at Man United is they paid for it using their huge revenues, how are they going to pay for it if they are spending all their money on players & keep taking out loans.

Same as us: PL revenue. Add in a bit of selling on assets into the mixer and you've got a business model.

Maatsen at £31m is f***ing expensive mind.

Player doesn't want to go apparently

"Do you want to go to Burnley?"
"Absolutely f***ing not."
"Well the only other option is FC Aleppo"
"Is the flight from Manchester or London?"

I mean yes and no, they've spent over £1bn on players and look weaker than when they started.

The ones they are selling are the ones that were there already. There is a good Chelsea Youth account on Twitter which is basically saying they are gutting the academy of everything.

The sales they are making is due to the good work of the last regime, not this one.

They’re basically starting over. Good manager in place now. Will take a couple of seasons to see if these investments pay off. I personally like their aggressive approach though.

I really rate Maatsen. He’s Burnley’s equivalent of what Lodi was for us.
The value is subjective but Burnley would struggle to entice similar quality without previous connection to the club.
