What gives me hope is that nobody could have imagined in their wildest dreams we'd have had even a 25% chance of signing Lingard.

Some players have decided against us and that's fair enough. Cornet who went to Wet Sham and Sow at Frankfurt for example.

They might regret it. Not us. Join the exciting project or get left behind 🥳

I can't imagine Lingard was exactly overly keen initially, but they have a way of getting things done.

Once he meets Super Stevie & feels the roar of the WFCG he'll be fully converted just Iike Jesse.

Hope so. This would be an incredible signing if we pull it off. The fact that we are even in the conversation for a player of this calibre is still kind of mind blowing to me to be honest!

This is beginning to feel very BUPAish to me.
No reputable journalist has whispered anything. If we have indeed agreed terms with the player, its because we've been given permission to by OL. So to agree terms with them must be a 30min conversation at best. Let's see, hope I'm wrong.

If he doesn't want to play for Forest, the best thing he can do in this circumstance is to play for Forest and prove to the world he is deserving of better.

Marinakis Jnr drove out of CG car park at speed yesterday ( and used ‘entry lane’ ).
Another big signing?
Or just collecting his gyros…

Enough journalists from legitimate outlets have reported it, so something is going on. But, as none of the big boys have reported it yet, I see that as it being some way from completion still.

Fully expecting us to be gazumped on this one.

Why are all these overseas players so much better than English, home-grown players?
Theyre not better, but generally speaking offer better value. Often (not always, hence England got to the SF and Final of two major competitions), but generally, foreign players are more professional, expect and cost less, better and stronger mentally, handle pressure better. Many want to play football and if money comes their way, fine. Here, many want money and don't really care if they're playing or not, more interested in going out, spending money, showing off....
You don't see many players going abroad to play in foreign league and there's a reason for it. Why get paid less to put in more effort when I can stay here and get paid more for doing less.

*Edit: Gareth Bale is an exception. He came to Madrid to play golf. (Joke)
