It's £40million with a buyback or £50million without. Can't see us paying £50mil and any buy back option is bad business for us.

Honestly, don't mind this as a move, more so because if we are giving the Scousers funds for their Isak kitty it will mean that Elanga might end up playing champions league football with his actual best mate leading the line, no bleeder is having sleepless nights at the prospect of facing Will Osula.

Time will tell. I think we’ve expected this. All mid tier PL teams get rolled over year by year. Let’s see what unfolds. 👍
We haven’t expected it though that’s the problem. We wouldn’t have sold Elanga at the price we did or said we were gonna build a team round MGW if we did.

If, and it's a big if, we can bring in Bakayoko, Harvey Elliott, McAtee and maybe even Fofana as well...
Huge if - of all those the one I can see us getting is the one no one here seems to want in Mcatee; I think the rest are above our station (or think they are) or priced out...

With Elliot I can't see us ponying up the kind of cash Liverpool apparently want; he's hugely overpriced too but I guess that's the tax you pay for young English players that have shown promise.

We could use his eye for goal from midfield though...

F*cking hell, West Ham can't stop copying our homework can they.

They've been following our recruitment team like a bad smell.

Haha, yes, it's annoying, but if our recruitment is looking at profiles to suit Nuno's plans then let them and hope/ expect that they don't quite fit Potter's.

That said, I wouldn't mind Elliot coming to us, but I think £40M is a bit steep for a very good, but still very young player who's only essentially ever been seen as back up to one of the world's best. If £10M was made up of add-ons, maybe and if the buy back was £60M ... because if they buy him back, it'll be to replace one of the world's best when he sets off for Saudi, imho.
