If i were a professional footballer id invite everyone to my no expense spared, lavish Greek Cypriot BBQ... full spit going round the works, dips, salads... you name it, its there.... apart from one person who i might let sniff the food over the fence but there'd be no invite

He hasn't played professionally in three years and the last time he did so in this country he donated all his wages to charity

If you're trying to make him out as some sort of Fryatt I'm sorry but that aint gonna wash

I'm not saying that. More that it's easy to smile and enjoy life when you haven't a financial worry in the world (that's not completely of your own making), can comfortably retire at 30 and are idolised by grow men.

For the record I quite liked Moussi and his tenacious style, despite his frequent inability to pass to an unmarked teammate 6 yards away.

I very much doubt Moussi could comfortably retire at 30.

Regardless of what you earn, you spend accordingly, although he shared a flat in West Bridgford for a couple of years, before buying a place in The Park and moving his housemates in there too.

We all need to work, having a routine keeps us sane. Moussi will be no different.

I read that, and imagined a slightly more muscular version of The Young Ones.

I couldn't agree more Barry.

I've totally re-evaluated my work/life balance since being ill and can totally agree with this thinking.

You should check out Tim Ferriss and the Four Hour Work Week if you want to live a happier, more productive life.

I'm with Hugh, work sucks.

Work just gets in the way of fun shit.

Its why i worked in Greece.

The money was shit and the hours long.. our apartment didn't even have a door and the shower was a hose pipe.... but it was wall to wall fanny and free booze and food on tap with 30 degrees sun on your back every day... as a 21 year old there was no place id have rather been..

Moussi gives a great behind the scenes take on the psychology of pro footballers from his time at Forest.

Really interesting to see things through the eyes of a professional rather than our more jaundiced ideas of how footballers and their managers work to get the best out of themselves or the players in their charge.

Can't say a great deal in 45 minutes but a lot of what he says is very interesting.

GM - "Billy Davies was one of the best managers. The top mentor. You have to play under him to realize how good he is as a mentor."

MF - "So he was a good man motivator?" GM - "Ahhh....The Best"

Thankfully, if anyone can match him for motivational skills MON can.

Also great comments about the cultural differences etc. between players based here and those coming from abroad. Not everyone is as dedicated as Moussi too.

Again back to Billy, great how Moussi highlights the point of how Davies used to ram home "the future of the club is your future". And now we're trying to wing it with fly-by mercs & loans here for a few months

As you say Kieth, brilliant interview which conveys the reality of football over the bull which folk on social media wish were true instead.

If I remember correctly his first game was the first game of the season against Reading (a 0-0 draw) and he played like a world-beater. I thought we had a real find. Sadly he never really lived up to the legend tag as a player, but has been a really good bloke to have around and seems a true gentleman.

Was he the most technically gifted footballer? No.

But did he always try? Damn right.

You could never fault him for effort.

And I’ll still remember when he scored that goal against t‘Barnsleh, and in such excitement, jumped into the Trent End to celebrate with the fans, unfortunately earning himself a yellow card - his second of the match - and thus an early bath.

He would have no doubt been cheered though as he left the pitch, that the PA was still playing Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay, Moosey! by Modern Romance, in celebration.

He surely has attained „Cult“ status at NFFC, if nothing else.

I think he just reminds me of a time when we were a far more united, together club. As he says in that interview "the future of the club is your future". I f***ing love that. I loved it then and I still love it now. Success was an aside because it was just so enjoyable on the whole, with players who were genuinely invested in the club. We felt more like a family than some bullshit business venture.

Right, who's the next batch of shite loans to leech off us for 6 months?

Dias for one. Oh he's already f**ked off after keeping the likes of Yates out the side for months :congored:

Dias was shit, but he's a different position to Yates, thats before you consider Yates was in no way a shoe in for Karankas approach. Yates aint a passer of the football at the level required for AKs counter attack.
