Gaetan Bong

The Bong hasn't got a clue what a left back is supposed to do. He's just an OK athlete with a decent cross in him. How he made money in Premier football is completely beyond me.

We’re probably at the point we need to stop the Bong debate. Woukd have more success convincing people that Putin is a decent leader than Bong being an adequate LB…

Brilliant signing, right along with Diakhaby and Da Costa. Best Jan window ever, 10/10

All the negative stuff was just me being anti-Forest. No way did I want us to f*** the people signing these duds of to move us forward in the ways Murphy & Coops did. Just evil Alf being evil again. ;)

Yeah, here's hoping the default transfer decision is NO. Unless, of course, we've scouted them. And if we scouted any of the above then heads rightly should have rolled.

I remember the Diakhaby Vs Carvalho debate at the time. Without wishing to go over old ground, the general consensus if you took the best arguments from each side was, 'they're both shit' (personally, I thought that was true of one)..

But true to form Forest. If they're both shit, why did we need TWO of them! Double the cost for the same output!

Da Costa, at £2m is one of the worst pieces of business in recent years. The profligacy of recent years.

If we finish 15th with 30 largely shite players and a bloated wage bill. Finishing 17th the following year with 20 players and a vastly reduced wage bill is progress!!

As shit as he was on the field he seems to have played a big part off it.

Doubt he'll be missed by most though.

Never got the hatred for him. I mean yeah he was shit but that's not his fault is it? Seems like he played a part in the off-the-field camaraderie.

Best of luck for the future Gaetan.

This. Tried his best when called upon too, which is more than can be said for other members of the bomb squad.

Not so much hatred as shear disbelief at the extent a former premier league player could struggle with the basics here.

Wish the bloke no ill, takes a special person to get so involved in the celebrations when you've little ties to the club & bearly contributed.

I'd like a million quid a year to smoke blunts and swig Peronis after the "workers" have played the football.
I'd like to wish him well also but more than that I'd like him airbrushed from our recent history. Him and Jenkinson were the embodiment of a strategy that was out of control prior to the arrival of DaneCoops.

My guess is that's Gaetan down to a tee. Hes probably about as entitled as Price Andrew being a "successful footballer" in his own mind.
I'd love to see a photo of him in 18 months when hes stopped playing-bet he'll be 25 stone and will look like a Rasta version of Wurzel Rummage...
