First manager to get the chop 22/23 season.

Who's gonna be the first manager to get sacked?

Fat Fwank?
Scott Parker?
The chap at Leeds?
Him at Southampton?
When will the first manger get the chop?

Post your predictions please.

My predictions;

Premier League: Scott Parker.
Championship: Steve Bruce.

I think Parker will be safer than people think. Bournemouth are showing very little ambition to have a genuine go at staying up this season which will bring zero expectation on the manager.

I think the promoted manager less likely to last the season will be Marco Silva, he seems to be moaning about lack of transfer activity alot. I think he will walk or be pushed at somepoint during the season.

I think the Leeds manager will be first to go though, Dean Smith or Steve Bruce in the championship

I agree. Don't rate Parker at all, but it's clear that Bournemouth are "doing a Norwich" and just intend to pocket the cash without making a real attempt at staying up, so it would be a waste of time sacking him really.

Would agree about Marco Silva, but I will choose Antonio Conte as a Premier League wild card, as he can also fall out with anyone.
Vincent Kompany for the Championship.

Marco Silva and Dean Smith.

FWIW I reckon the Baggies have signed well: both Wallace and Swift are good players. Unfortunately they'll give them an edge, especially if Dike is back and firing.

Not sure if Clowes is the trigger happy type, but you can be sure the knives will be out amongst their fanbase if they aren't walking the league like their fans expect.
I thought they'd already won it.

West Brom have a good squad, but Bruce will hold them back IMO (much like Hughton did at the start of last season here). I think if they have a poor start they'll get rid of Bruce pretty quickly. Wouldn't be surprised to see Corberan end up there.

Lampard. If they start badly, the atmosphere will be toxic and the board will panic to try and deflect criticism.

Think he might cling on a bit longer due to the club's reluctance to give him a pay off (given their financial situation) and the fact that no decent manager is going to touch them with a barge pole. He's definitely getting the sack at some point before Christmas though, no doubt about it.

And weirdly the fanbase seem to love him (probably on the basis he isn't Rafa) so that will buy him more time

It's odd, isn't it? I know Rafa didn't do a great job in his short time at Everton and that he is ex-Liverpool, but he's lightyears ahead of Lampard as a manager. Everton were very, very fortunate to stay up last year and are going to struggle without Richarlison.

Going to go against popular opinion and say the first to go in the prem will be Rogers. The natives all think they are a top six team and will throw their toys out their pram with a bad start.

My money is on Rodgers, they were giving him grief last season a poor start and he's gone imo

They haven't signed anyone either have they? Seeing that there is interest in Maddison as well so I could be a good shout

Leicester fans wanting Rodgers sacked makes me laugh. Two consecutive 5th place finishes and winning the FA Cup would make him a legend at most clubs, but Leicester fans want him gone for the horrific crime of finishing 8th last season. What an ungrateful bunch of Crewtons.
