It does say that some of the info is "according to news on the British press" which as we know is probably bollocks. I'm losing track.

If we were realistically after him when in the championship then I would think the fees quoted are nonsense.

Turkish players don’t have a great record in England. Plenty have come here with good reputations and flopped. Emre, Cengiz Under, Cenk Tosun, Gokhan Tore, Hakan Sukur. All were supposed to be the bees knees and were far from it.

The best Turkish import was Tugay, although Tuncay was ok and Soyuncu has done ok at Leicester.

So I’d steer clear on that basis. Much better chance of successes from leagues like France and Belgium. We are going to need a very high hit rate this summer, so we don’t have much room at all for blunders in the transfer market.

Probably not after him anyway.

More chance of Fergie sniffing glue.

Plays in about 35 different positions, he was a #10 throughout the start of his career and then started playing as a winger (both sides) before moving to full back (both sides). He's even played a few games as a box to box midfielder

Can't see him being a first choice full back for us and considering he recently signed a contract extension til 2026 you have to assume he won't be cheap

He's coming to replace Horvath.

He’s also right footed, which is not common for a LB

Naturally right footed but plenty capable on his left, same as Williams

I know we were looking at him in Jan but he's signed a 4 year contract extension since then and we've gone up a level. If he was available for 5-6m it would make a bit more sense but they value him at well over that and with such a long contract there's no rush for them to sell him

We definitely need a versatile player who can fill in multiple positions but we can get better value than this

Don't know if it makes a difference but he's born and raised Dutch. He got his football education at NEC Nijmegen before heading off to Turkey.
