FA Youth Cup Final v Manchester United

Huge achievement by the club. The lads must be buzzing at the prospect of playing in front of over 20,000 at Old Trafford. Hope playing on such a big stage doesn't mean we end up losing some of our best prospects to the big clubs.

Brilliant numbers, especially considering it is midweek. A shame it is on a weekday though, I'd love to have gone myself.

Wow, that's a bargain. I assume that's just postage then.

I’ve bitten the bullet, I’m going - might have to stay overnight though as no late train back to London.

This is pretty amazing.

You know what surprised me vs Chelsea?

A lot of our players hadn't played on a stage like that before. A lot are first year scholars who haven't played much 23s so haven't got to play at proper stadiums and only this FA Youth Cup run has given them that opportunity so far in their careers.

For Chelsea. A few of their players have been playing 23s in recent months + are used to Uefa Youth League games so they've played at proper stadiums in front of decent crowds instead of a Saturday morning at the academy in front of a man and his dog.

What an experience this will be for a our players. 20k+ ! Gutting for Jack Nadin.

Will winning this give us access to EUFA youth leagues?

Wonder how many tickets we could sell if we start marketing it heavily, and advertising during the next home game etc.

I hadn't really noticed any advertising at all until they said we sold 2.5k tickets which is amazing.

AH , someone with local knowledge, where is best place to park? I may be going for something to eat in Manchester city centre before the game.

Free parking near to Old Trafford is pretty much a non-starter, as far as I am aware. There are tons of small-scale ad hoc car parks on industrial units on Trafford Park within a half-mile or mile walk. It is a massive ball-ache parking in and driving out of town in rush hour. You MAY prefer to park in the vicinity of Salford Quays (5-10 mins walk from OT) where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from.
Hadn’t read Bonalair’s comment when I wrote this. If you can get in there then all well and good though no idea how many that holds!
