I like the look of Cuhna, yes he did put a lot of balls out of play, but I’d rather he hoof the ball to safety, than piss about with it like Morato and cost us a goal. He is also very young and learning to get to grips with English football. Regarding Jesus, I feel for him, he’s on a hiding to nothing, gets very little support, he’s an excellent hold up player and needs players to step up around him. Being expected to carry the line for 29 odd games without help must be very disappointing for him. Get him the right support and he will flourish. Also very a relatively short player he can get a lot of height, the goal he scored last night was great and he jumped well above the defence.

At least we managed to score 3 and had a lot of shots. 31 shots against a Championship side compared to 11 shots against a National League North side.

That first was utterly abysmal from us. 3 shots in 45 minutes. The remaining 75 minutes we had 28. The players in the first half will not be wearing our badge ever again as far as I’m concerned.

You including Sels, Jesus, Cunha, Savona and Hutchinson in that? Seems like an over-reaction.

He’s a good player still developing, give him a break.
Can I come back to you on this with some time to think?
I’m sure he’s a young man dedicated to his craft, but the kind of club I want Forest to be is categorically not the club that spends 35m on development players. Our academy is for that.
And I disagree with the Dyche here ‘don’t worry about the price tag’ schtick (it sounds like the right thing to say if spending had no consequences)

Money is everything but so is authenticity-

Edu is ruining our club.

Edu wasn't here for the preceeding 3 seasons when we did all of the things you are unhappy about modern football for.

Modern football did that and it did a long time before Edu showed up. Players don't play for the badge anymore because academies aren't set up to develop local lads who are fans. They are built to scout and source players from all over and convince them to join on the idea they will develop them in a way that will get them as close to the top as possible.

Football in 2026 is a far cry from what it used to be and all the poorer for it. But being in the championship isn't going to be any different on that front. It's just going to be a worse quality of football.

I hope the Maccledfield result puts things in perspective a bit, because the overreaction to the wrexham game on social media is laughable.

Wrexham are 12 places below us - it's not exactly David Vs Goliath - and we actually drew the game, just lost on penos.

There's issues to address, issues many of us have chatted about for months, but some folk are wanting to rip everything up - "Sack Dyche + Edu + Marinakis + the players!!"... they need to get a grip lol.

Hulk already answered you so not going to repeat some points.

Unfortunately we have to be a feeder club to some degree that invests in players that need development and most will eventually move on at a profit. I know £35m sounds like a lot but it really isn’t at this level.
It’s just where we are in the EPL game, we can’t financially compete with the bigger clubs for some of the developed players. There is always FFP lurking in the background as well.

For what it’s worth I’m old school and preferred how things used to be when smaller clubs could compete more easily, but thats long gone.

Particularly mental given everyone had spent all week claiming they had no interest in a cup run anyway. But also that somehow has to happen without us losing. Even on penalties apparently. Like spoiled children.

If we had played the kids and lost 4-0 no one would have batted an eyelid.

It was the pathetic attitude and performance of some of the backup players which upset many fans (and Dyche)-
not the result.

Exactly Captain Sinister, Ripple and Cloughie 1975. I do agree with what you say. I don’t doubt his efforts, in terms of style we seem to be feeding the wings and crossing the ball in. This is not what Jesus needs, he needs a partner to work with. Yes we have left ourselves with little option but to play him every game but who is at fault? I am sure that Kali would have made a better fist of it. If we don’t get a striker in this window and Wood doesn’t recover from his op quickly I can’t see where the goals are coming from. Please don’t say Taiwo, as much as he did a great job for us in the Championship, he is not a Premiership striker.

You’re spot on - he’s not scored a try in months..

Lol. You don't live in the real world, do you? Our Academy will take years to produce Premier League ready players, that's what 23 years out of it does for you.

Getting relegated would be terrible for us, there's no guarantee EM would hire the right people to get us back up. We just need to hope we're still in the Premier League when he gets bored and decides to sell up.

Edu isn't really the problem, EM is both sides of the coin.

It was the running the first team players into the ground, manager feeling compelled to throw players under the bus for his own perseverance and in the process making it harder for us to move on the players we all know he was referencing.

All entirely avoidable had we sent the kids.

Don't care about losing, Wrexham was always going to be a tough game even if we put the first string out for the full 90 given their form and being up for it.

I’m not unhappy about modern football, I didn’t like plenty of the things that it was before either. But I don’t expect perfection in anything. I get it.

The past 3 years I can take or leave if I’m honest with you too - I’m after the elemental stuff I suppose
