Evan Ferguson [BUPA]

I'll say something else about Surridge too which as a striker myself I probably view differently to others and therefore might not agree, he was one of the best natural finishers I've ever seen in a Forest shirt

Which makes that Blackpool match even more mind boggling.

For the right price/loan with option, I wouldn’t be against Ferguson coming in. Doesn’t excite me massively but can’t be any worse than Awonyi as an option.
Still only 21 so plenty of time for him to get back to his early form a couple season ago.

Forest may as well sign me, I am about as match-fit.

He’s done f*** all for 2 years and we aren’t exactly great at bringing players on, nor have we got the time to do that here.

He's only 21.
He's someone who has completely failed at the last 3 clubs he's been at, going back at least 2 years. (I include Brighton in that where he was completely frozen out despite his promising start there.) At this point we need as close as you can get to a sure thing, not someone with a 10% chance of being really good. We have Taiwo for that.

We aren’t great at bringing players on? Williams, Murillo, Anderson, Gibbs White, Elanga, Hudson Odoi would all beg to differ

I’m on about now. Now isn’t the time to be buying a pet project and I don’t think it is Dyche’s game anyway as he’s here to fire fight.

Highly doubt he's the answer but this is the reality of signing a forward in January. Highly unlikely we get what we want without over paying (which we can't afford even if we want to), so the next best option is taking yet another gamble on someone like Ferguson

When there's someone like Callum Wilson right there for the taking? Obviously he's an injury risk but he's far more likely to contribute this season than Ferguson.

As I say, for the right price. Under £10million. I’m pretty sure he had a lengthy injury that started off his drop off in form and struggled since. Similar to Hudson Odoi’s early injury which took a few years for him to get over.

Ferguson wouldn’t excite me but looking at the other names that have rumoured, striker wise, are apparently either turning us down, if we’re even in for them or would be an even more expensive risk than Ferguson.

Just got to hope Forest have something lined up, as the prospect of having Awonyi as our only back to Jesus who isn’t exactly banging them in either for the rest of the season doesn’t fill me with much confidence.

Wilson is a bit more than an injury risk, West Ham who are 7 points worse off than us have got rid of him maybe tells a story

He demanded to leave - don't think WHam had much of a say in it - you can't keep a player who wants out, especially in their position and with that type of contract.

Offer Wilson a contract until the summer with the option of a extra year providing we stay up - as long as we stay up its well worth it given the money you get from being in the EPL and you have to think we will sell one star player at least in the summer. Its a relatively low risk chance to take.

He is the type of player who can come on at 0-0 with 10 minutes to go and grab a goal that gets a team 3 points or a even when a goal down gets a team a point.

Re Wilson, we will eventually cotton on that he might be worth it, then go through the following stages.

Admiring him
Holding an interest
Looking to make contact

He'll end up at Burnley instead.
