Euro 22 Women‘s edition.

The reality is womans football has to grasp this opportunity to attract better crowds and become self sustainable. Almost every womans side is funded by the mens side currently.

The demand is so high for top level mens tickets that you can't really take your family anymore. Womans football has to market itself as a family day out, the atmospheres are much more family friendly and season tickets are cheap as chips - if they don't get bums on seats now they never will.

The thing about it is the women's game is also better to watch in terms of play acting. You don't see girls rolling around like Neymar and in the referee's face about decisions. They might get upset but they get over it quickly. No moping about.

There's a lot of things that are quite refreshing when you watch women's football. It feels a bit more pure.

They need to really need to focus on that aspect and create some momentum. Embarrass some of the tarts in the men's game and roll with it.

I have just watched an interview with the England ladies’ goalie, Mary Earps. She is 5 feet 7 inches tall. The cross-baris 8 feet high, and 24 feet wide. I think the problem with ladies’ football is there in those 3 measurements.

Also, scorer of the winning goal removes shirt and runs around, breasts bouncing beautifully, to celebrate. Media commentators say “she is empowering women”. Could someone explain how getting her tits out for the boys empowers women? I don’t want her to stop getting her tits out (why stop at just removing her shirt, c’mon girl, really empower women and take off that bra) . If that were to happen every time a goal was scored I’d pay double to go to ladies’ matches(wearing my grubby Mac with a sponge down into the lining).

Why is it 'for the boys'? That's a noncey mentality that.

Not sure I'd agree with you on that one Bryan. Sunday's game was full of it, like watching a Premier League game on slo-mo. All the cynical play and gamesmanship was on show, more from the Germans it's true but it was there. Milking every touch, moaning at the ref, asking for yellow cards, it was all there.

I have to say, in a personal capacity, you maybe need to rethink the second paragraph of this post.

It really isn‘t the kind of thing that is acceptable in public.

Just my 0,00€ of course.

:ROFLMAO: Maybe its an age thing but I think getting hot in your pants because you saw a young women in a sports bra probably says more about you. She was metaphorically beating her chest, you beating your bishop. Different gravy.

I think it's fair to say that any man or woman whipping their shirt off to celebrate is a bit silly, especially if it's premeditated, and further still if VAR has given you the chance to rethink your action. Jump in the air a little bit, shake a couple of hands and then back to the centre circle please.

Despite my earlier misgivings, I quite enjoyed the Euros. Of course, it was filling a gaping hole in the close season, but I reckon the women have improved their football immeasurably. They still look a bit slow about the pitch and, despite their skills, the tactical awareness isn't always there, but the enthusiasm and the crowds filling the stadiums helped create a fine atmosphere.

Sadly for the future, I doubt I'll watch another ladies game until I fall in love with a centre forward or another tournament rolls round.

My whole post was bitterly ironic.
The key question was: how does her action empower women?
The rest was meant to be taken with a pinch of salt.
One day everyone will understand and appreciate my weird sense of humour.
I'm going to sit down now and watch my comedy super-heroes, Bennny Hill, for the visuals, and Frankie Boyle for the visceral verbals.
Like him, I make no apologies

Apparently they have named a bus after Mary Earps.

Apparently told her granny to tell the driver and she'd get a free ride. Granny said she gets it free anyway with her bus pass!
