He is getting better and better, play around his lack of footballing distribution I will have no problems him staying in net.

He reminds me of Nick Pope, dodgy when you take him out his comfort zone but a top level shot stopper. Wish we could morph his shot stopping with Samba's distrubtion. Although you probably get Alisson if you do.

His distribution isn't as good as Brice but all other aspects of his game are fine, at this level.

Would probably look for a new No 1 if we go up, I just don't think either commands their area well enough to do it week in week out in the PL.

I like him. Solid keeper and a calming influence.

Gets the shirt until the end of the season, for me.

Can't fault the way Ethan has grasped his opportunity, and that SC has put his full trust in him, but if push-comes-to-shove, Brice still edges it for me.

His kicking is pretty awful but his overall distribution is actually quite good.

I think he's growing every game, his shot stopping and overall command of his box for me is at least equal to if not better than samba and I like the fact we don't see any amateur dramatics, sambas antics do my nut in if I'm honest.

Argument to say that Ethan is the No 1 now, not to say I'd be against samba coming back in but I certainly hope when he does he'll have learned a harsh lesson!

I still think Brice is the better keeper but there's not a lot in it.

I know Brice's shithousing is out of fashion at the moment, but when he's in control of it is a genuinely useful thing. His 'antics' after Derby scored their penalty helped kill that game as Derby got distracted from seeking an equaliser because he triggered them and instead ended up fouling us lots instead.

Samba should not get the shirt back until Horvath has a couple of stinkers.
For me, having played goalie in the Rothmans Western League many years ago, and having been coached by some pretty decent coaches down in Devon, Horvath is better at the traditional keeping skills.
Distribution isn't all about playing sweeper keeper, and hoofing it long, and Horvath is qickto spot where a fast throw out or short roll to a defender will pay dividends.
Samba flatters to deceive in my humble opinion.

Disagree, while I think his ability to throw the ball out is pretty good, he is a second or two slow, reminds me of Lee Camp in that sense who could spot the ball, but took him a second too long to do it.

I like Horvath, his performances have shown he should keep hold of the shirt as he has done nothing wrong, but his distribution will get us in to trouble at times.

If we're praising Figs for coming up to the mark, then the same applies to Horvath

He has let no one down and played very well. Obviously the coach thinks he's OK and that'll do for me

See I prefer consistency to "keeper-flare". A keeper you can depend on rather one who does bonus bits and bobs.

Samba concedes today because he's blocked so cannot gather the cross. He's come and grabbed countless crosses today. Horvath just stays paralysed on his line and we concede because of it. Samba is our best keeper by a mile.

Is the media trying to wind me up?
Not only are they telling me Samba is away to Nantes or Lens, they are now telling me Horvath isn't good enough for the Prem, and if Samba goes we will need 2 new keepers because Horvath isn't going to be a back up keeper at forest anymore.

"There is the uncertainty and I don't 100% know what will happen," Horvath said. "Going into this summer period, my main objective is is to play and I know that yes, the World Cup is coming around and that is part of the reason why I want to play but to be honest, I just want to play again, the feel that adrenaline and those butterflies and just that gameday feeling day in and day out.

"We'll see what happens. We're in close contact with Nottingham and whatever happens, happens there. The main objective is to play, with Nottingham or somewhere else."

Meh. What happens happens. Murphs & Coops will be on top of it all.

Could be a good move all round if he gets regular game time before the world cup

Good luck to him, he needs game time and I know he will do us proud.
